[The frowning face of Kolivan appears on the screen. He looks generally unhappy but anyone who knows him is aware that this is literally just his default expression. There's nothing unusual to see here.]

It would appear that the captain of the Goldstone has departed this fleet. I am Kolivan, its new captain. Should you have questions then you can bring them to me.

[A pause and then...]

Members of my crew. I want reports for your stations by the end of the day. There is no First Mate on this ship so I will take them.

[And that's the end. He just ends the transmission there.]


Goldstone

[Kolivan can be found taking note of what the ship has and what it requires in terms of supplies. It's really impossible to miss him honestly. Being the towering figure he is and the way he needs to bend down to move through halls and doors... Well, it's basically not going to be hard to find him or run into him.

Just please don't do so literally. He's very solid and it will hurt.

But this is your new captain. Feel free to say hello.]

[Tim won't reply to the Broadcast but simply come to find Kolivan as he's wandering the ship taking inventory.]

Seeing as how we're both Security on this ship, I made the presumption that you had already taken Inventory of our Security equipment. I have taken note of what we have in the kitchen since we lost our Cook to a different ship and we also seem to have a brand new person on board.

Haven't met them yet but records on file say their name is the Undertaker?

[Hearing Tim, he turns to face him. He listens to what he has to say then nods.]

We are likely to have another crew member soon as well. Likely by the next week. I have spoken with someone who has shown interest in transferring to this ship. His name is Cyril and he would be our pilot.

[Tim unsuccessfully tries to hide a smile at the mention of Cyril]

Yeah, I... um... saw the messages between you from the broadcast. They seem very friendly towards you.

We could definitely use the Pilot though. That's another thought I had, would I be of more use to this ship if I was to request a augment change? To a communications officer.

And would you accept me as your First Mate? Seeing as we don't have one anymore.

As far as I am aware, we cannot change augments when the main ones have been assigned. And I do not trust our other Security Officer.

[He's not saying he trusts Robin except that's totally what he's saying to him.]

I will accept if you wish to take the role of First Mate though.

[Lance...he has asked Cyril a very similar question already. So he's not insulted in the slightest and this is just a default frown.]

Based on his answer the last time this question came up, I would say that I have all of the qualities necessary for him to find me attractive. He is aware of my nature and the reasoning behind the nature and is not bothered by it.

There is little reason to discourage efforts for this reason.

If you are the captain of your ship then I will not question how you run it. This will be how matters are done on this one to maintain order.

[Pause.]

Though, I'm not sure what the consumption of sweets has to do with anything.

I appreciate that and it's good of you. I just find giving them sweets and patting them all on the head and telling them they did good every day keeps order like you wouldn't believe.

On the Goldstone

[Grievous hadn't been with the Fleet very long before calibrations had occurred so he wasn't very used to the routine or anything else on board, but he had been assigned to the Goldstone previously and was back on board now as one of the Security. The cyborg is tall himself, at over seven feet, but he has a tendency to hunch as he strides along corridors with a clanking noise from his heavy clawed feet.]

Captain.

[He states the word roughly, with what appears to be equal parts politeness and disdain. It's difficult to tell his mood past aggressively underlying anger.]

I deal with Security but I have no current orders.

[Kolivan stands taller still than Grievous and he turns to him when he hears him coming, watching him calmly. That frown is totally normal. Really. He always wears that.

But it doesn't change the fact that he's eyeing the other suspiciously. Largely just because he doesn't know him and doesn't know his history to know if he's reliable.]

This is our first encounter. What have you been doing until now?

[Oh he's been watching him but now he's a superior officer. So therefore he wants to see that he gets reports rather than simply making assumptions at this point.]

Doing? I, as everyone, have been trapped on the other ship with strange happenings these long weeks.

[He sounds irritated.]

I have not had much experience aboard this particular craft. I did not even meet the previous Captain.

If you have no way to return me to my galaxy then you must have some further instructions for me to be useful aboard the Goldstone.

[He doesn't seem pleased to be idle, even if he also isn't fond of being ordered around. But he can bide his time for the right opportunity.]

It was necessary in order to ensure that these seats were filled. A meeting of the captains would be a sufficient way of ensuring we are all aware of what we are doing and what our goals are.

We’ve held them on the Iskaulit in the past - in whatever room is biggest and available to us for a sort of round table. We could probably manage it in one of the bars.

At the least it would be good to have everyone on the same page. We need a better battle plan for when we get attacked, in my opinion.
