[The frowning face of Kolivan appears on the screen. He looks generally unhappy but anyone who knows him is aware that this is literally just his default expression. There's nothing unusual to see here.]

It would appear that the captain of the Goldstone has departed this fleet. I am Kolivan, its new captain. Should you have questions then you can bring them to me.

[A pause and then...]

Members of my crew. I want reports for your stations by the end of the day. There is no First Mate on this ship so I will take them.

[And that's the end. He just ends the transmission there.]


Goldstone

[Kolivan can be found taking note of what the ship has and what it requires in terms of supplies. It's really impossible to miss him honestly. Being the towering figure he is and the way he needs to bend down to move through halls and doors... Well, it's basically not going to be hard to find him or run into him.

Just please don't do so literally. He's very solid and it will hurt.

I can do video surveillance! with the right equipment and such. I'm very good at it, gadgets, security systems and well bugs. Not that we'll need that in our own ship.

I can work closely with you too, I'm use to keeping busy so I can definitely do both.

This is a project I will give to him. We will need an engineer and likely a communications officer to aid us in this and with three of us in security he will require tasks to do. It will be easier for me to keep an eye on him if he has work.

The Undertaker is Lab Support.

You will be working with me to make sure that the ship is running properly and that we are aware of what we do and do not have on this ship. I want us prepared for anything that could happen.

Considering that we don't know what could happen. That covers a lot of possibilities. We're going to need a lot more supplies than we already have. With only well, a couple of us who actively want to do this.

It will be more effort but the results will be worth it. Presently we have room in our cargo hold for more supplies. I want us to gather what we can when we next leave drift.

We might also need more currency depending on where we come out of said drift but if you give me a list I will source as much as I can.

After I see what the new system is, I will create a list of what we an obtain as far as supplies go from there.

Hopefully, it will be a little more technologically advanced than the last one. Not that the festivals and village weren't extremely welcoming and beautiful to see. Just not that... useful for ship needs.

I would not underestimate a lack of technology. Perhaps it isn't as useful for upgrades for our ships but they can provide other necessities.

True, I guess I was thinking too narrowly... or I just miss my own computer and security systems. I was able to gain a lot of nice leather from the last system and we can always stock up on food and things we can trade in the future.

Leather will be useful at some point. And I agree with the food and other matters for trade. It will be helpful for us all to have at least one ship dedicated to supplies and I want that to be us.

I can understand that. Do you just want us to make us a stockroom that needs to replenish at each stop and something that's more self-sustaining?

Like there's a greenhouse on the Iskaulit but it's more to enhance food or use for herbal things but not like... food? Although I suppose it could be used for trade though? If we could make things with them.

I am not certain we have the supplies to make something self-sustaining. If we can find a way to manage this then we will see to it. For now it will be better for us to gather that which won't rot away over time without use.

I will keep that in mind for the future then, both the supplies for a future idea and what we will need now.

Is the captain's bunk a better size for you?

You said your first bunk would suffice and you could barely squeeze into it and why would I speak to Cyril about your room? Unless you're sharing already? [Tim's eyes widen in surprise]

We are not. He simply appears to be as invested in my personal comfort as you are.

Then I'm definitely talking to Cyril about this. You're going to be in trouble, we'll be double teaming you soon. [He then makes a face as he realises his phrasing and doesn't like it]

Did you have someone who helped you take care of things back in your own world? Your equivalent of a first mate I guess? Who you could delegate to or who would help make sure that you rested and ate.

[Krolia has lately. But that had been due to his injury. Antok might have qualified but really Antok would never have said a word about having him rest. So honestly the real answer is...]
