Broadcast: No
Action: The Tourist
When: March 2019
[ Welcome home everyone! The Tourist is still her tiny, lovely maze-like self. The slugs are still alive and the coffee maker is still ornery, though working, and everything looks to be in place. Though their roster has changed. Their resident Russian has taken flight to another ship, but they've gained another red head in his place and a new first mate with pointy ears. So it all works out.

Though their roster has changed. Their resident Russian has taken flight to another ship, but they've gained another red head in his place and a new first mate with pointy ears. So it all works out.
Let's try and get back to business as usual shall we? ]

Jim Kirk (OTA)
[ It feels good to be back in his room, back on his bed, cuddling his little slugs, and with his personal stash of whisky at hand. He wasn't one for to much drinking, as a rule, but this sort of thing required it. He would happily share with anyone that wanted some, of course. It's easier to look over his notes in his room, with his slugs to help calm him (thankfully happy and healthy despite the absence).
When he's not going over the journals, he takes to working on his varied little mechanical projects, abandoned for a month. His little array of stays to shine on his ceiling when he wanted a familiar sight, or playing on his tri-dimensional chess set. Or heck, even napping. There really is no place like home. ]
b: working out
[ The tourist had been silent to long, especially in the dead of night. Because that was when Kirk liked to work out in the storage hold. Three years here, and his sleeping problems had never really been solved, and his mind never seemed to be able to quiet itself.
So he worked out in the bowels of the ship, running from end to end even in the limited space, push ups, shadow boxing, anything to work up a sweat and make his muscles burn. He tried to be quiet about it. So sorry if he wakes you. Or, if you're already awake, come and join him. He never minds company. ]
c: the kitchens / views
[ There are times where he can be found trying to coax a cup of coffee from the ornery coffee maker because having a fully functional one is really just to much to ask. Which of course creates what some might see as an amusing tableau of a Star Fleet captain glaring at a piece of machinery and vaguely threatening it or begging it for the stuff of life.
Eventually, he manages to get what he's after - either from the machine or giving up and taking on juice instead - and curls up near one of the windows of the Tourist to look out at the stars. Sometimes he can be heard humming to himself, one of the classic songs that he loves so much.
Or, if you're lucky, it's one of those mornings he has decided to take charge of the kitchen and that makes it PANCAKE DAY! Rise and shine crew - as much as one can shine in space. ]
B
He also hadn't been in the best of moods the last couple of days since getting back to their ships and the whole thing about firing on the Marsiva, and Jim was a wonderful distraction to not have to think about anything too serious. Or, well, maybe a little serious, that leather bracelet that was a copy of Jim's hanging around Remy's wrist, wearing it even in sleep.]
Was I really not 'nough exercise for ya? [He may look a little annoyed at waking up, but his tone was warm at least, even if a little hushed for the time of night it was.]
Re: B
[ He knew Remy had been standing there for awhile, but he had kept up with his workout until Remy spoke. He hadn't meant to wake him, to give him reason to miss him from their bed. He had just wanted to work out some, dry off, and come back to curl against Remy, when his mind was quieter. He wiped at his shoulders, neck, and hair, making his way over to Remy. When he reached him, he leaned forward, nestling his head into Remy's shoulder, arms slipping around him. ]
Just thinking about to much.

Ya good? Or still need to keep goin'? Can offer a sparrin' partner if ya think it will help.

If you want to, I can go some more. Or you could join me in the shower.

Please, I'm not a masochist.
[ He snorted and kissed Remy's cheek, moving back from his lover to gather his few things and head out of the hangar. ]
It really is to bad we don't have the sources for a tub.

View
Especially as he's not certain whether he wants to impose on Jim until he stumbles across the man, apparently cozied up to enjoy the view. Kurt sits 'up', tail curling idly around his ankles as he just watches. He'll say something in a moment; doesn't want to frighten Jim, after all. But its a quiet hour, and he's loathe to break it.
Re: View
A prickle rose on the back of his neck, the faint pressure and nudge at the back of his mind saying he was being watched. It didn’t feel hostile, but he didn’t have a reason as to why anyone would have such intentions towards him.
He sipped slowly on his drink, shifting his position ever so minutely to better enjoy his repose and at the same time make room for a second viewer.
“You can come join me,” he said without turning, not knowing who was there, but knowing it was someone. “I don’t mind the company.”
Re: View
"If you're certain. It wasn't my intention to.. Disturb you." Intrude is the word he meant to use, and has a feeling Jim would object to. A heartbeat later he's dropping from the ceiling, twisting midair to land on his feet. Though the movements are inherently graceful, it might be quiet enough for Jim to hear a distinct click from one of Kurt's joints.
The man himself doesn't react outwardly, simply padding across the floor. When he reaches Jim and the spot cleared for him he settles into it, his knee brushing thigh as he crosses his legs. A vague memory stirrs, and his next move is to reach his tail toward one of Jim's wrists with intent to curl around it.
Re: View
“Oh, this is a pleasant surprise,” Kirk remarked, turning to watch Kurt, the surprise genuine on his face as much as the pleasure.
“What do I owe the pleasure?” He asked, shifting his bare feet to press to Kurt’s warm, fur covered thighs, lowering his hand to let the tail curl around his wrist, fingers idling stroking along the spade.
The motion brought comfort and a small smile, his shoulders relaxing and the crinkle of his brow smoothing. He didn’t want to push Kurt for his time or affections, knowing how precious the other was with them. It warmed him that Kurt came on his own, that he let him have these small gestures of intimacy.
Re: View
Looking down to hide what he's certain is a mixture of sorrow and warmth in his eyes, Kurt starts trying to coax one of Jim's feet into his lap. Probably shouldn't reward him with a foot rub, but-- "I wanted to see you," he finds himself murmuring. The sensation of fingers stroking the spade of his makes him shift slightly, the set of his shoulders slowly beginning to relax.
"Wasn't sure if you'd be awake, so I didn't ring."

B
When he gets to the gym, however, he sees someone he recognizes. Jim. Awake late at night and working out his emotions. Spock puts his hands behind his back and walks forward.]
I have in the past extended an invitation for you to learn Vulcan meditation. I would be happy to do so again, now.
Re: B
[ Kirk isn’t surprised that Spock is up. He knew Vulcans needed less sleep than humans, or at least didn’t sleep in the same way as humans. It was a helpful trait when he needed to pick the Vulcan’s brain in the wee hours. He paused in his movements, panting as he turned to consider Spock, reaching for his towel to dry his brow. ]
It’s appreciated, but being still and quiet has never been my forte.
[ He gives the other a wry look, because really Spock, you know him better than that. ]
no subject
[Spock walks forward, eyebrow raised. He looks around the room and tries to take an educated guess at how long Jim has been working out instead of sleeping. He doesn't like the number he comes out with.]
Except, I am assuming, some technological or medical improvement which renders you capable of functioning without rest.
no subject
I'm fine, Spock. It just happens from time to time.
[ He shrugged. He had managed for years like this - he wasn't sure there was any Star Fleet captain who slept to soundly at night. He loved his job, he did. But there were things that just left a sour spot in his brain, and the shadows sometimes made it difficult to want to sleep, or to get peaceful sleep. He would rather do something productive than toss and turn. ]
You could join me in a little spar?
no subject
[He knew his Captain well enough to know that the recommendation was falling on deaf ears. Instead of insisting Spock took his shirt off carefully and rests it against a nearby bench. They haven't sparred in a few days by his estimation. For Jim it was years.]
Do you recall the martial arts I prefer? After so long I do not wish to surprise you and cause an injury.
[He's not smirking and he's not saying that in a smug challenge. Vulcans don't do that. Nope.]

Wrap?
Lea (OTA)
[Well, one of the easiest places to find Lea is in the kitchen area where he's usually eating. With that bright red hair and long black coat, he's pretty easy to spot. Of course he doesn't look thrilled by most of the options the ship supplies for food. But hey at least the people on this ship have better ideas for what counts as something to eat.
So he typically is found snacking on something. He probably should eat more than just snacks to avoid being the stick thin person that he is but the likelihood of that happening isn't high.
But he'll at least smile when seeing someone.]
Hey. You grabbing some food too?
B. Cargo Hold
[So this looks like where the games and stuff are supposed to happen. Honestly he's not that interested in the workout area and has been largely ignoring it in favor of something else entirely.
The pinball machine.
He probably looks too cool for a silly game like this but you can still find him most days right in front of the thing. Because he's determined to get the high score on it for no other reason than a matter of pride. But he's also still figuring the thing out so he curses when he loses another life.]
Come oooon! I had that!
C. Communications
[So technically he's the communications officer. That means he should probably be doing his job there. But honestly any time you see him at the communications station he's in a chair with his feet balanced on something and usually with a something in hand to play with. Typically a bean bag he's stolen from the cargo hold.
What? This is boring and there's nothing better to do!]
Closed to Spock - Dated post shuffle
So while Remy would normally be around to catch up with Jim or Chekov on the Tourist, this time he arrives with the intent to meet Spock.]
<3
It is during one of his walks that he sees someone he does not recognize. A member of the crew, perhaps. Spock straightens his spine and walks forward with purpose.]
Greetings. [His voice is even. It's always even. You'll have to imply that he's pleased to meet you.] Are you a member of this vessel?
:D
Great.
Ok, just meeting a new person, he can do this. Though... was it bad to try it in Vulcan? He does know a bit, and he tried that when Worf had shown up briefly, using rusty Klingon. But would that be insulting? What if he said it wrong? Plus it would just raise more questions, he'd only recently been able to talk to Jim about how he 'knew' him before this all. Maybe the salute? Was that even right for a first time? Ok, handshake, right? Then again... Vulcan's didn't really do physical contact that much. But Spock had been around humans for awhile now.
When did this get so confusion?]
Hey, [Yes, smooth. Just go with it.] Ah, not quite, though am 'round here a bit, why I wanted to 'ntroduce m'self. 'm Remy LeBeau, 'm Jim's, [...what? Oh Dieu, they hadn't really done a 'title' for them, they were just together. Boyfriend? Would that work? Kinda?] Ah, something. Heard ya had joined the Fleet 'nd wanted to welcome ya. Jim's spoken highly of ya.
no subject
I am assuming part of your 'something' distinction involves coitus. [Ever subtle, this guy.] As I know Jim, I can understand your confusion regarding your relationship's classification. It is not an area he discusses with ease.
[Spock offers a softening of his face that's not a smile but is his attempt at looking a bit less intimidating. In this world people would not be familiar with his race and could interpret his stoicism as rude. Hardly a preferable first impression.]
I have not been here long so I cannot say I have heard much spoken of you. However, a close proximity to Jim speaks highly of your character. I look forward to getting to know more about you.
no subject
Also with how he worded stuff, Remy chuckling a little and it helping him to loosen up.] If that be a standard to categorize people by, I 'magine it be a rather long list, considerin' it Jim Kirk. Maybe, boyfriends in an open relationship be the best way to put it.
I won't take it personally ya haven't. I 'magine Jim, both of them, be real excited that ya be 'round. A shame ya got caught up in this all as well, but know members of ya ship be good people to have 'round.
no subject
I regret that we have been separated for so long. It has...caused confusion and difficulties where there had not been, before.
There is much to learn, here. In every regard.

Pavel Chekov (OTA)
Passed on. It seems wrong to abandon the Tourist. Pavel had initially been contemplating a request to transfer back, but with Spock on board and taking up the duties of first mate (according to ship rosters--Pavel hasn't seen the Vulcan himself), Kirk isn't going to need him.
Catch him updating maintenance and repair instructions for the graviton field generator in the engineering room, recording some final readings from the upgraded communications console on the bridge, or saying goodbye to the replicator. It's a terrible replicator, but it's his and he's going to miss it.]
