It seems I have spent a total of a year in this place and the, ah, viewers wish to celebrate. However most of this is useless to me, so I welcome anyone else taking them into their hands.

[ which, ngl, he's into. but the gifts loki has are just . . . baffling. he holds each one up to the camera. we have the mighty thor scooter, captain chickmerica, loki on hotwheels, a masterpiece, plastic horns, disturbing panties and something for "sophisticated men" ]

Also, this has reminded me. Since we are essentially living by this . . . awkward mortal calendar, I have decided I want a birthday. You lot should help me pick one.

You're assuming much of their thinking capabilities.

For all we know, this may not be an audience but the Atroma themselves. And they've never taken any kind of gift-giving particularly seriously.

Somehow, that doesn't surprise me.

They seem to prefer keeping people in the dark. More entertaining - or whatever they're after.

Could be one big social experiment.

That is one of the theories. There are many that abound but no clear confirmation exists.

Pal, from what little I know of you, the one thing I do know is that you always want to know what's going on.

Even if that were true, what makes you think I would share it so openly? I certainly do not know you.

But he's my friend. So there - we've got a mutual acquaintance. You practically know me by association.

I rather know people through my own impressions rather than to rely on others. Especially as someone whom people will think the worst of before knowing me in any form or fashion.

First impressions sure can be a doozy, though.

To the day, yes.

[ loki usually does not keep track of time, but it slows to a crawl in this place and it's hard not to. ]

Not that anything particularly noteworthy has happened here.

In fact, it almost certainly is.]

[ loki shrugs. he heard the sarcasm, but since he doesn't know who this is and isn't much for addressing anyone's nebulous, unexplained dislike of him, loki is moving on. ]

Actually, it is recommended. After all, we do not want our captors to benefit from us.

Sometimes you stick it to people by pretending they aren't there.

I do have a ship to run and there are other things that occupy my time.
