It seems I have spent a total of a year in this place and the, ah, viewers wish to celebrate. However most of this is useless to me, so I welcome anyone else taking them into their hands.

[ which, ngl, he's into. but the gifts loki has are just . . . baffling. he holds each one up to the camera. we have the mighty thor scooter, captain chickmerica, loki on hotwheels, a masterpiece, plastic horns, disturbing panties and something for "sophisticated men" ]

Also, this has reminded me. Since we are essentially living by this . . . awkward mortal calendar, I have decided I want a birthday. You lot should help me pick one.

Either way, it just usually reminded me of things I didn't really want to think about. That's really the main reason I stopped.

It is important, I think, to control what you are reminded of. If your date of birth is soured, then those reminders control you. Not the other way around.

My friends have been pretty into getting me to celebrate it anyway. I guess... I guess it's not too bad.

[Keith stared at the video for a second. Odd that Loki would say that. Granted, it wasn't like Keith didn't know about certain things after calibrations (thank you, Tesseract), but... Keith wasn't sure if Loki knew about Shiro.]

Yeah. I can see how it would feel that way.

[Keith definitely got it.

But, moving on...]

Well, if you want to pick a day, you have a couple of ways of looking at it, I guess. Picking a date during a favorite time of year, a favorite season, because you like the zodiac symbol... Like, mine is October 23rd, so I'm close to Halloween, during Autumn, and I'm a Scorpio.

What are zodiac symbols?

They're constellations on Earth that people use to explain things with astrology. Like, with Scorpio, I'm supposed to have certain personality things, and matches with other signs that are good as friends, lovers, or will only be enemies, and it determines a horoscope for you... a prediction of how your day might go, for example.

It's not something I ever really put much stock in, but it's important to some people. When picking a date, there are people that are going to want to know what zodiac sign you are.

I had no idea there were so many details ascribed to these symbols.

There's probably even more I'm missing. I know it can get pretty in depth based on time of day and all that, too. Like, where certain planets are in relationship to the specific constellation... the Moon and what phase it's in. After the basics, I sort of stopped paying attention. The only weird thing about my birthday is that I'm pretty much always a Scorpio, but some charts also consider me to be a Libra. I think someone called it a cusp. Whatever that means. I just know that it's not on every chart, so I stick to Scorpio.

I was considering Halloween. It seems appropriate.
