Hey there, fleeter friends, let me pick your brain for a few minutes, get those creative juices flowing.

If you could have any kind of magical weapon, armor, or a fancy artifact- what would it be, and what could it do? The theoretical sky is the limit, here, this is just a fun thought experiment.

Lup can be found easily enough in person as needed, either in her room or in the kitchen on the Heron, or messing around in the smithy onboard the Iskaulit. It's project time.]

Hmm. How big of a vessel are we talking?

Like, specifically, say I wanted to keep some weapons in there. Are we talking dagger-sized? Rifle? Longbow? And can I transfer it back there or do I have to carry it around until I get back to the ship?

It's a decent size. I'll have to check on the exact dimensions, but it's a chest, about three feet long... it can hold a good amount of stuff. How the spell works is that you store it in the Ethereal Plane and summon it to yourself when you need it, no matter where you are. When you're done with it, you just send it back, and it'll stay there until next time. No carrying required!

There's a few downsides, obviously, besides what I already mentioned- since it's in the Ethereal Plane, you don't have access to your shit unless you call it back first. Plus there's a limit on how often you can cast it.

Okay. So rifles in, longbow out. Got it. And you summon the whole chest, rather than each individual item?

What's the cooldown? [i.e., how often can one cast it?]

The whole shebang, yep. Not positive on a cooldown yet, it varies from spell to spell, and the more you want it cast, the more the difficulty spikes. My guess would be once or twice a day for it to pop in and out. Regular enchantments at that level can handle more, but this one's kinda two in one, especially if it's being handed over to a non-wizard. The limitations change when you're not the original caster.

Sounds like I couldn't keep anything too important in there, then. Not if I got locked out of it after I used it. Bummer.

Might still be worth it for an emergency instead of an every-day kind of thing, though. So let's say we're not too worried about the cooldown length, then. How much money we talking?

Mm, probably a lot. The components alone back home are 5,000 gold just for the chest! Translating that into credits will depend on the going price of whatever planet I can get the supplies from.

I'll have to punch some numbers and see if I can come up with an estimate. How's about I get back to you on that?

Yeah, I'm going to need some conversion there. 5000 glimmer is something I can make in like, an hour of work. Less if I use a buff.

Sure! I'll start saving up now. Maybe see if I can make some extra credits by, I don't know, swimming nude in the pool on the Iskaulit. that's how it works, right?

It works like that somehow, sure. Are you a looker? I can't tell. You get more credits if the audience thinks you're hot stuff.

If their standards are anything like Reef standards, I'll have people lining up to stuff credits into my swimsuit. Wait, no, I'm not supposed to wear a swimsuit, and credits are virtual.

Yeah, I get the gist! Anyway, that's a good thought.

It might take a while before I can get the materials for it, and I'll need to talk to a friend about constructing the chest, so labour's gonna be double on this one. Buuut the delay might at least give you some time to save up when it comes time to pay the piper.
