[It's taken Vash a lot of talking to get himself to make this post. He was embarrassed and shy which was making it very difficult. Still, it was something he had been thinking about for months now so he really needs to do it. No point to keep putting it off.]

So, ah, I know there are some doctors on board. People skilled with magic too. Is anyone good with getting rid of old scars. Like really bag, old scars? The kind make up won't cover up?

[Well, that wasn't something she expected to see from him on the network for a lot of reasons. Maybe the most obvious being that he's so hesitant to let anyone know about them in the first place. But the reason that rings loudest in her mind is just that he is looking to get rid of them and she's not sure how she feels about it. It's not her decision of course, but that's the point. Is he doing it for himself or for her? She hopes he knows she didn't expect anything. She has been worried about the metal though. Seriously, who mends a wound with metal cages? But she also doesn't know how easy it would be to remove them safely at this point.

That is what doctors are for though. If this is happening she really wishes they had a bevy of advanced doctors like they used to with Beverly and Simon. Okay, two doesn't sound like nearly enough for a bevy, but she's pretty sure she's forgetting a couple. What's the option now? Frankenstein? He doesn't seem like the person to go to to get scars removed.]

[Suddenly he regrets his decision to not hide this message from the crew. It was so easy to say he was going to be more open and honest, but it was a lot harder to put it into practice. He wouldn't need to be having this talk right now if he had kept it away from the crew.]

Hey, you know, if this is about the missing cookies it wasn't me. It was probably Remy. Not me. [And yes. He ate the cookies.]

Those were supposed to last for... You know what? I hope you enjoyed them. And next system I'm getting a locked box for food. [Vash, boundaries! She likes sharing, but come on.]

Why are you acting like I'm calling because you did something wrong?

Hey! I didn't ea-- I mean Remy didn't eat them all! [But he did eat a fair number of them. COURAGE COOKIES!]

No. Of course not. [She says confidently despite the apparent diminished cookie population Remy had nothing to do with!

More cautiously.] Do you feel like it was wrong?

Yes. Remy was very wrong to eat those cookies without asking you first.

[Really? Really? Waiting.]

[He lets out a small sigh.] No, I didn't do anything wrong.

I guess you just got me thinking and curious. There was nothing to be done back home, but we're in space now. Probably won't hurt too much to ask around.

Also... I'm sorry about the cookies. There are a few left.

How are you feeling about it? Not the cookies. [She's over the cookies.]

I think I'm feeling okay. I'm not sure if it will actually work, but at least I can say I tried?

Are you okay that I'm looking at getting rid of them?

Yeah... Yeah, of course I am. It's your body. I want you to be healthy and happy in it. Whatever you want.

You're beautiful either way, Vash. [She's gotten push back for calling men beautiful before, but "handsome" feels sort of old fashioned to her and hot isn't really what she's going for here even if it applies sometimes.]

Yeah, but I could look a lot better. You can't tell me a bit of metal is comfortable to snuggle up against.

[He's right about that, but she's not confirming it. She's also pretty used to it. Not just from Vash, but from, you know, that one metal ex who killed her.]

I do worry about the medical implications of having metal like that attached to you. I mean, it doesn't look infected or anything, but long-term it could lead to heavy metal poisoning if it isn't the right kind of metal and I don't know if your world really had the technology to figure that kind of thing out.

I think it's made from left over space ship scrap metal. It's designed for space so it's probably fine.

I have no idea, but I'm hoping it's fine.

[That gives her pause.] I hope it's fine too. I'm not rooting for heavy metal poisoning.

I've had a doctor I trust back home look at it. He's not concerned so I don't want you to be either.

But I've barely even begun to worry about you. Why would you take that away from me? [Teasing. She doesn't really feel relieved by even the best most trusted doctor in his world unless maybe it was someone from the first generation of humanity that got there who still knew how to fly across the galaxy before it was more about survival.]

I could be more reckless and give you something to actually worry about if that's what you'd prefer.

Oh, I have no doubt you will given enough time.
