[It's taken Vash a lot of talking to get himself to make this post. He was embarrassed and shy which was making it very difficult. Still, it was something he had been thinking about for months now so he really needs to do it. No point to keep putting it off.]

So, ah, I know there are some doctors on board. People skilled with magic too. Is anyone good with getting rid of old scars. Like really bag, old scars? The kind make up won't cover up?

[Tim scoffs and shakes his head] I've slept in the last 24 hours, so there will not be a repeat of last time.

I don't actually want hot water either. I just thought it would be funny.

Oh. Well, good thing I didn't care about the other two questions then. [He cared so little that he didn't even think of two more questions. Saying there were three just sounded a lot more dramatic.]

So what would you like? Or is sitting alone in a bar staring at a wall a cool past time for youth back where you're from?

I would get carded if I tried to walk into a bar back home so no not really? I just find myself with more free time than I have stuff to fill it with? So I thought I would come by and see who was around to keep my mind preoccupied.

Do you serve anything that isn't alcoholic? that isn't just hot water?

[Well, that wasn't something she expected to see from him on the network for a lot of reasons. Maybe the most obvious being that he's so hesitant to let anyone know about them in the first place. But the reason that rings loudest in her mind is just that he is looking to get rid of them and she's not sure how she feels about it. It's not her decision of course, but that's the point. Is he doing it for himself or for her? She hopes he knows she didn't expect anything. She has been worried about the metal though. Seriously, who mends a wound with metal cages? But she also doesn't know how easy it would be to remove them safely at this point.

That is what doctors are for though. If this is happening she really wishes they had a bevy of advanced doctors like they used to with Beverly and Simon. Okay, two doesn't sound like nearly enough for a bevy, but she's pretty sure she's forgetting a couple. What's the option now? Frankenstein? He doesn't seem like the person to go to to get scars removed.]

[Suddenly he regrets his decision to not hide this message from the crew. It was so easy to say he was going to be more open and honest, but it was a lot harder to put it into practice. He wouldn't need to be having this talk right now if he had kept it away from the crew.]

I have a vague understanding. Medicine wasn't among my interests when I was studying back in England. And the technology in Riverview was very different from what I knew. It wasn't magic though, just skilled medicine. It took surgery to remove it.

Wait, but surgery is how you get scars. Not how you remove them. [The medicine in his world really isn't very good.]

[Taking a seat at the bar, he was writing a note in a thick heavy book. There are colorful sticky notes sticking out of the book. By the look of his clothes and robes, a heavy silver cross hung on his neck, and beads of a rosary that he's holding in his hands, this man is a priest.

He doesn't drink anything alcoholic though. But he is really thirsty.]

Huh? Oh, hello. Can I have a diet pepsi, please? I would like 13 cans.

[Vash can't help but smile at the priest outfit. A bit of homesickness trying to wash over him, but he pushes that to the side. He had a job to do!]

A Pepsi? [It takes his mind a little bit to connect the word. Ah, the cola soft drink people from Earth tend to request.] Afraid we don't have that, but we do have Eokc-a-Episp! I think I'm pronouncing that right. I hear that it's almost the same!

But, sorry, I misheard you. You want how many cans

[The priest merely smiles.]

That should be fine. As long it's soda like coca-cola and pepsi.

[Stating it matter-of-factly.]

Uhh, I'm not sure if I should tell you I think you've had enough when you haven't even started drinking yet. Or is the decor of this place turning you off that badly you need to take as much as you can carry and not come back? [It's an old western saloon sort of feeling to the decor. While Vash didn't pick it out it did help him feel a bit at home sometimes.

He'll start piling the cans onto the counter as requested. Having only been joking before. After all, the customer is always right! So long as they pay.] You can afford all 13 cans, right?

[Well now, this catches his attention. How can it not? He's covered in them, though most of them are hidden from sight at any given time. Not that he cares.]

You could call me a doctor here of sorts, and I am good with scars. I've removed a few in my own time, but it's a tricky process. Could be made easier. Would you be willing to help me with the equipment needed for it?

[He won't be seeing any of Vash's in this video, however, he might notice that Vash is covered from the neck down in a large red coat and black gloves on his hands.] Really? You have? [He had asked, but he had not been expecting a positive response.] How does that work? What sort of equipment would you need?

[He has noticed that, and he can't help but wonder at it.]

That all depends on the scar. I can take a look for you and let you know what I think. Might be more accurate. Or would you prefer to discuss that here?

I guess because they've scared some people in the past and I don't want people to see them and feel sorry for me.

Your scars are a part of you. They're part of what makes you you. [It's less a judgment and more a little confused.] Are they a hindrance in other ways? Has anyone requested you hide them?

I mean. There are a couple that are a pain to care for. But even if they weren't a hindrance is it that wrong that I would like to get rid of them so I can be more comfortable with myself?
