[It's taken Vash a lot of talking to get himself to make this post. He was embarrassed and shy which was making it very difficult. Still, it was something he had been thinking about for months now so he really needs to do it. No point to keep putting it off.]

So, ah, I know there are some doctors on board. People skilled with magic too. Is anyone good with getting rid of old scars. Like really bag, old scars? The kind make up won't cover up?

Wait, but surgery is how you get scars. Not how you remove them. [The medicine in his world really isn't very good.]

Not necessarily. If it's done well and you take care of where it was, you should barely know it was ever there. [His isn't either, unless you aren't human. But he is. So he only had access to what was available in England, so he'd never had anything done.]

Really? Back home having surgery pretty much guaranteed some sort of scar afterwards. Not always noticeable or bad, but still a scar.

I would agree on that with my own home world but more advanced medicine seems to be able to remove them and prevent scars from forming, so long as you take care of it while it heals.

[He'd show his back but... he's still a proper young gentleman.]

Interesting. Did it hurt when you had your scar removed?

[That makes him pause for a moment, thinking back, and then he gives a nod.]

It did. I couldn't sleep on my back for close to a month, but I was given something for the pain.

Ouch, but I hope it was worth it in the end. No more scar.

Absolutely worth it. [He even cracks a little smile.]

It wasn't a pleasant thing to see whenever I looked in the mirror. Hurt worse getting it anyway.

That's good. I'm glad to hear it went well for you. [He's not so sure that he'll get that lucky, but it's still a nice thought that someone has.]

So am I. It's a change I'm glad I had done. [He was lucky to have people who cared enough to suggest it.] I hope that you'll be so lucky.

Maybe not but it's always pleasant to be able to look and have one less bad memory just sitting there and waiting to be seen again. [He, uh... he's very okay with not knowing that.]

That's true. Then again sometimes we can learn a lot from our bad memories about things to not repeat.

Sometimes. And then sometimes the reminder is just too awful. I'm sure you understand, at least a bit, wanting your own scars dealt with.

Yeah. I think I can understand. I'm glad you were able to get rid of your bad memories before you arrived.
