goldenglasses: (Why'd I have to get the hicky there?)

(no subject)

Who: Vash and you!
Broadcast: Yes
Action: The Space Bar
When: Right now!

Video

[It's taken Vash a lot of talking to get himself to make this post. He was embarrassed and shy which was making it very difficult. Still, it was something he had been thinking about for months now so he really needs to do it. No point to keep putting it off.]

So, ah, I know there are some doctors on board. People skilled with magic too. Is anyone good with getting rid of old scars. Like really bag, old scars? The kind make up won't cover up?

Action

[Vash will also be working his bartender job at The Space Bar later on. Standing behind the bar with a big smile on his face.] What can I get you? [Come tell the bartender all your problems!]

That's a good way of looking at things. Glass half full and all. It would be amazing if we could somehow use the collective knowledge that bringing all these people from all these worlds together to help each other.

I'd love to be able to help your sisters and properly terraform your planet. Just as I'd like to help Kolivan end his war.

I hope so? And I didn't mean to say that it wasn't. It just feels if we aren't able to help each other in some way than it feels likes wasted time.

[Tim doesn't want to belittle Vash's outlook but if they do get their minds scrubbed even the memories of their meeting will be washed away and I suppose that works for his thinking as well. He just ends up sighing]

I suppose, sorry I'm a little cynical. I haven't been here that long so I'm still angry about being kidnapped?

It's better than getting complacent and succumbing to some sort of Stockholm syndrome. Best to stay angry and use it constructively.

[Tim mutters out] Well you've got mildly annoying down pat.

There's also a difference between anger and rage though. One can be motivating while the other just blinds you.

Aren't you hundreds of years old? Why are you worried about wrinkles of all things.

I would think it would be less of a reason to care if you live longer than who cares what people think about your looks? Although really who cares either way I suppose. A wrinkle is just a sign that you've spent your life smiling? I'm pretty sure that's an assinine saying from a meme or something

A meme is an element of a culture or system of behaviour that may be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, especially imitation. Usually, it's done through a
humorous image or video which has a similar element but with slight variations.

It's actually really hard to explain the cultural phenomenon if you haven't grown up with it? Usually, they tend to get more abstract and harder to follow. They're like cultural and generational inside jokes?

Aah.. kinda. Like I said it's hard to explain but yes like an inside joke shared among a large group of people. Usually shared a lot and at random.

True, but also can be confusing.

[Tim shrugs] How did we get onto this topic?

[A slow grin appears on Tim's face]

A mug of hot water?
