Who: Bucky!Cap Barnes
Broadcast: Private to Natasha Romanoff
Action: Bishop, planetside on Lyndia
When: Shortly after the last shuffle (for video & Bishop), anytime during their stopover in the Bix system
[Video: Private to Natasha Romanoff]
Hey, so when's a good time for a fight and a drink?
[Action: Bishop]
[Bucky's new on the Bishop, but it's not like he's never been here before. Anyone who's been here for a week or two might have seen him coming and going from Steve Rogers' room. In fact, now that he's on board, that appears to be where he's headed now, with an armful of clothes and a strange, circular red, white, and blue shield tucked under one arm.
Actually, since his hands are full, he very politely(?) kicks at the hatch to Steve's cabin once he gets there.
Later, he can be found walking the ship, familiarizing himself with the bridge, bathroom, and kitchen - where he's also digging for the coffee grounds and means to make it into actual coffee, because that's really important. Seriously. Coffee is magic.]
[Action: Planetside]
[Bucky also takes the opportunity to stretch his legs on Lyndia. In fact, he takes the opportunity to spend some time outside, because no matter how much the natives of this world warn him, it seems fine to him. Not even a sniffle. So he ends up earning some extra cash, running errands and ferrying supplies from the surface, including hacking away at vines, gutting old wooden buildings, and maybe even seeing if he can't track down said reptilian beast.
Bucky spends his significant earnings largely on food and clothing, because a) he wants to eat things that are not gel and b) he wants to wear things that are not jumpsuits. He is also willing to share the riches with friends, should they run into him.]

Bishop
At the kick to the door, Steve is jarred away from his thoughts and grins wildly. ]
Yeah, yeah. Just a second.
[ He turns the music on and something low and smooth comes out of his communicator. It's old sounding even if Steve can't recognize it. In the background he figured out how to put in the sounds of traffic (or as close to it as he could get).
The lights in the room are set low as he finally gets the door and shifts out of the way for Bucky to come in. ]
Can't even knock. What the Hell am I takin' into my room?
no subject
Yeah, it's music, when Steve opens the door and Bucky blinks past him to see the lights are dimmed and he realizes there's even something that sounds like traffic and -
He snorts, but he's also grinning.] My hands're full, 'cause somebody doesn't wanna hang onto his own shield.
[Except the fact that Steve gave it to him, said he wanted Bucky to have it, means the world.]
If I didn't know better, I'd say you were trying to charm me into something.
no subject
[ Still, Steve moves to help his friend with his things. The shield goes up on a hook in the room. Next to it is the shield Hux made him with the small cat paw-print on it. He pauses a moment, sad for the loss of the other man. They were finally learning about each other and becoming friends. But that was how things seemed to work, here.
The cat itself was curled up on a pillow in the corner. Millie had just lost Hux so Steve was basically spoiling the poor thing to cheer her up. Knowing Bucky, he'd probably help with that. ]
Go ahead and put your stuff wherever. Just mind Millicent.
[He uses his chin to point at the cat as he starts shifting clothes over in his new, bigger, captain-sized closet.]
Technically she was here first, so...
no subject
With Steve taking the shield, he doesn't have much else to put away; it's just the clothes, so he heads for the closet as indicated.] S'bigger in here since I was here last, [he points out - mostly because he's never been in a captain's quarters before.] But I know the cat wasn't here last time.
[It's a statement, and a question.]
no subject
Millicent was Hux's cat. I couldn't just have her running around an empty room so...I figured you wouldn't mind. Not with all this extra space. Almost a luxury.
[Sarcasm drips off his tongue with that. But, speaking of tongues, Steve sidles up behind Bucky and wraps his arms around him, head angling to the side for a kiss.]
If you do mind, I think I can make you care less...
no subject
Oh. [That's... there weren't a lot of people on this ship to begin with, so it seems like a big hit. Bucky does, admittedly, frown, because he hasn't been here long enough to see a lot of people go, either. maybe it's a little worrying, but he doesn't have much time to worry about it, right now, because Steve goes on, and then steps up behind Bucky - and of course Bucky doesn't mind, but,] You kinda make a guy want to say he cares, just to see how you plan on convincing him otherwise.
[Like kisses, which - yeah. Steve is definitely getting better, and he hasn't lost that eagerness despite it, and call Bucky a sucker, but he likes it. He wraps one arm around Steve's waist by reaching behind him and laughs softly into the kiss.] You gonna take my mind off of it?
[It still feels dangerous, flirting with Steve like this. But it's also thrilling, and the atmosphere in the cabin makes it easy to play along.]
no subject
He's lost two people in one month. Who knows when the next will come? Who knows if it will be him? Or if it will be Bucky?
Steve lets out a small, almost whimpering noise between their lips as he pulls back for a breath and dives right back in.]
Want to see if the bed's alright? [He makes the invitation between two pecks, already leading him over.]
Maybe we can both take our minds off things there.

Nothing I can think of.
Same.
[It doesn't take him long to get there, dressed in workout clothes (or at least something that passes for them) with a bag holding some regular clothes and his uniform. This seems like too casual a fight for that kind of thing, but he figures with Natasha, you don't want to be caught with your pants back on another ship.
Definitely no shield, though.]
no subject
No weapons visible, and there's not too many places they could be hiding.
So probably a fair fight?]
Good timing.
no subject
He drops the bag, then crouches down to pull off his shoes. No sense in damaging the mats.] I do my best. Wouldn't wanna stand a lady up, even for five minutes.
What're the rules?

Planetside
Hey, how's it going? Run into anything scaly and dangerous lately?
Re: Planetside
[Bucky is currently eating at an "open air" cafe (is anything really open air when you're underground?); when he spots Sara, he smiles and kicks a little at the empty chair on the other side of his table, inviting her to sit down for a moment if she wants to.]
Not yet, but not for lack of looking. [His smile turns a little rueful.] I learned how to track careless guys in the Army, not big, scaly things. But the principle's sort of the same, I guess.
How about you?
no subject
I wasn't in the Army, but I learned that guys and big scaly things don't have that many differences, especially when it comes to tracking.
no subject
I'll bet you have. Well, that's good for me, I guess. The fun part's gonna be what happens when I find it.
[Then again, he hasn't had a real fight in a while. It'll be good for him.] What're you up to?
no subject
Just getting a feel for the planet, mostly. The change of scenery is appreciated.
no subject
It is nice, yeah, [he hums, agreeing.] Honestly, I'm a city boy and even I think the fresh air's nice. But then again, a city ain't a spaceship.
At least they've got real food here, too. Definite plus.

You're taking care of yourself? [ It's phrased like a question, sure, but it's more of a subtle (or not so subtle) order. ]
no subject
In truth, though, once he's over Steve apparently materializing out of nowhere, the fact that the guy asked how he's doing... wow. It means a lot - though Bucky has to play it off. He's mostly successful. He thinks.] Yeah, pal. I'm doing all right.
[He might be sizing you up right back.] You had anything to eat that's not protein gel, lately?
no subject
Okay. [ Then a shrug, shoulders hunching in a little at the scrutiny. ] Had food here.
no subject
[Bucky definitely looks away first because it's not really a staring contest, in his mind. It does tell him a lot - more, anyway - about the guy Steve is now, though. It's... strange. But he can deal with it. He will deal with it, because it's still Steve. Still his best friend.]
Recently? [he asks, at least accepting that answer for what it is.] I was gonna get dessert. Sit down and have some?
[He phrases it as a request, not an order. He really hopes Steve might consider it, though. Bucky points to the chair next to his, not across from it.] Good sight lines from here. [It's why he's sitting where he is, after all.]
no subject
... Yesterday.
[ Which is probably not what Bucky wants to hear. Steve flicks his gaze back across the restaurant, then shrugs and folds his bulk into the offered seat. ]
What are you having?
no subject
I dunno. [He holds it out a little, pointing at one dessert, then a second.] These sound good?
