Who: the Vision and YOU
Broadcast: Video
Action: On Lyndia
When: Video is now, action through the duration of the system
[Video Broadcast]
[The video clicks on to a tunnel opening up to a spectacular cavern with what looks like a lava waterfall, casting an orange-red light onto the surroundings even though it's fairly distant. After a good long moment, the view swings back to the tunnel where a few sparkling rocks are embedded in the gray stone walls.]
I'm pleased to report that one can indeed find diamonds down in the lower mines, though they tend to appear rather close to lava flows. I'd advise caution if you'd like to seek them out, but I am reliably told the natives will craft them into a number of tools for you if you can acquire them.
[There's a brief hissing sound from behind the camera, and he quickly sets it down. The sounds of a scuffle and a high-pitched screech are heard, and after a moment he picks it back up again.]
Ah, and do watch out for the cave spiders if you traverse this deep. They're rather large.
[Action throughout the month]
[The Vision doesn't spend all of his time looking for underground treasures, of course. This is a great planet for some flying, especially when it means checking out some staggeringly giant trees and looking for novel fruits to bring home for testing, or gathering wood for various construction projects. There's also all of the neat tech to be found in the populated areas underground, so he can also be found shopping for upgrades, new media for the library, spare parts, and of course creature comforts. Maybe they even have some donut powder! And since it's been so very long, he can even be found at the water park wearing a ridiculous little yellow Speedo and looking like he's thoroughly enjoying the screaming crowds of young people on inflatable tubes.
Lastly, for those few who might remember, his birthday was officially set as May 16th last time he was in the Fleet, and it's quickly approaching....]

action | spider tunnels
Well, that was fun.

Are you here for the bounty? I was passing through to the deeper mines, but I can see why they want this area cleared.
no subject
Yep. I figured I'd switch up the bartending for some adventuring for a bit, while we're here.
Want some company?
no subject
[He nods.]
I'm to find some lava and collect it in a bucket, but I've also been given a tip that there are diamonds down below, and I think we could benefit from a few diamond tools. But "below" is past rather a lot of these spiders, I think. I could use a hand.

birthday!
She's waiting for him on a blanket in the grass with a tiny picnic, dressed in the princess dress from Calibrations courtesy of Sansa. There are little color-changing lights all around her, and she smiles warmly when she catches sight of him.]
Vision.
[Her voice is soft with love and desire, and Wanda reaches out to invite him to join her on the ground. His first present of the night is a slow, deep kiss.]
Happy birthday, love.
no subject
He recognizes that dress, as it happens, and when he sees her his eyes light up and he shifts his own outfit over to match - a handsome (if maroon-skinned) prince to meet with his fairytale princess.]
Wanda, my love.
[He meets her for the kiss and keeps hold of the hand she offers.]
I'd ask how you knew the date, but you can read my mind.
no subject
I've been planning this since my birthday. We aren't so far apart.
[She's just glad they're planetside for this, because what she had in mind would have been so much more difficult on the ships. It's hard to have a romantic evening when there are so few places to go and little to no privacy. This, too, could easily have turned out badly, but as soon as she saw Vision in the soft light of the plants, Wanda knew she'd made a good choice.
She reaches out to lightly trace her fingers over his cheekbones before gently cupping his face.]
I brought treats for you, and something more. And one last surprise that is only for you to see.
[She blushes at the thought, enough to be visible in the strange light, but one corner of her mind is tightly closed against any peeking. Sorry Vizh, you're going to have to find out the normal way.]
What do you want first?
no subject
Oh, but she's blushing even in this dim light. He grins, not minding in the least that she's going to have him wait for it. There ought to be some surprises on his birthday, right?] Let's start with the treats, shall we? I don't believe I've had a night picnic before.
[And they're on a heavily-populated, technologically advanced planet this time, which means she could really be hiding anything in that basket. He inhales deeply, catching both the scent of--is that freshly baked pastry? Probably, knowing his girlfriend. And it's intermingled with greenery from the park around them, which is a comfort as well, and that delightful scent that is Wanda Maximoff (largely a combination of the soaps she uses, as his sense of smell isn't much better than a human's in that regard).]

shopping
For the time being she's still just browsing, but that only makes it a better time to check in on the Vision.]
Finding anything you like?
no subject
Would something like this be too warm on our ships? Most of the clothing fibers we've had access to until now have been synthetic, but if this sort of thing is more comfortable I may pick up some crafting materials.
no subject
[Natasha shrugs.]
On the other hand, I don't know much about alien fibers.
no subject
And yourself? Have you found anything out of the ordinary?

shopping.
Since he's waiting the requisite number of days to obtain the gun he'd purchased, he's spending his time perusing the technology stores in the city instead. It's still intriguing how some of the technology far outstrips that of his own world, but when it comes to robotics-related wares it's only on par, at best. It's in one of these places that he finds Vision, and brightens immediately. It's been a while since they've spoken.]
Vision, hello. What are you looking for?
no subject
Oh, the usual - looking to diversify the entertainment selections aboard the Twin Roses, investigating the various plant species to see if any would make a good addition to my garden, perusing the technology to see if there's anything worth integrating.
[He gestures over at some cute little space roombas.] In particular, I wonder if these would be a suitable replacement for a janitor's cleaning bots or if they'd only be bait for my captain's pet direwolf.
no subject
I find the ones that the Fleet provides can be... temperamental. [Not solely because Connor decided to mess with one and it reacted poorly. But definitely partly because of that.] Do they have any additional capabilities?
no subject
[He smiles a little, remembering Castle and his bots.]
Oh, I adapted the programming of the ones we used to have until they behaved well. Are you have issues with any of them that seem to be software in nature, rather than due to the questionable hardware they're built on?

flying.
He's sitting up the top of one particularly huge tree, perched on a branch and eating a packet of trail mix when Vision comes into view on the horizon. Eyebrows raised, Thor waits until he's close enough before calling out:]
If it's clear skies you're after, you'd best stop here! There's a storm brewing further north.
[For once, it's not because of Thor's mood. He just knows there's ugly weather a few hundred miles along the path Vision's travelling.]
no subject
That's good advice. Thank you.
[He looks relaxed, happy.] Each time we arrive on a planet suitable for flying, I remember again what I like about it. Are you here for the sense of freedom as well?
no subject
[He usually flings himself out of the door of the ships as soon as they land to get some air. There's less flinging these days, and it takes him longer to feel the need, but Thor still goes. Being confined for too long just sets his teeth on edge.]
It's not so different from the last one, really.

spelunking;
That's not to say the caves are empty of friendly forces, though. He's surprised to come upon the Vision down here — in a good way — and he holds up both hands as he approaches (although there's still a combat knife clasped in the right).] Not a spider. Promise.
no subject
Are you quite certain? They can get very large, I hear.
What brings you down to the tunnels?
no subject
Don't think I have quite enough limbs for it.
[Though if they're talking about animal transformations, Bucky would probably be some sort of half-octopus, just given HYDRA's logo.]
The challenge, mostly. There's no cave exploration when we're Drifting.

action | water park
His joy is slightly soured when he glimpses Vision, uncertainty curling in his stomach like a foul cat. For a moment he considers turning to walk away, but the android (who he still privately considers his captain) earned his trust long ago. And he technically doesn't disagree with him..
"You know, its still funny. Most people wear less to these places."
no subject
But he'd got this skimpy little bathing suit on his very first sponsor drop, and he'd found it still here waiting for him all this time later. Funny.
"Have you been on the slides yet, or are you here to observe only?"
no subject
His question gets a shake of the head, Kurt clarifying a moment later with, "Not yet. In all my travels I've never had chance to experience a place like this. Heard about them, but--is this so close to how it used to be on earth?" Excluding their being underground, of course.
