Who: the Vision and YOU
Broadcast: Video
Action: On Lyndia
When: Video is now, action through the duration of the system

[The video clicks on to a tunnel opening up to a spectacular cavern with what looks like a lava waterfall, casting an orange-red light onto the surroundings even though it's fairly distant. After a good long moment, the view swings back to the tunnel where a few sparkling rocks are embedded in the gray stone walls.]

I'm pleased to report that one can indeed find diamonds down in the lower mines, though they tend to appear rather close to lava flows. I'd advise caution if you'd like to seek them out, but I am reliably told the natives will craft them into a number of tools for you if you can acquire them.

[There's a brief hissing sound from behind the camera, and he quickly sets it down. The sounds of a scuffle and a high-pitched screech are heard, and after a moment he picks it back up again.]

Ah, and do watch out for the cave spiders if you traverse this deep. They're rather large.

[Action throughout the month]

[The Vision doesn't spend all of his time looking for underground treasures, of course. This is a great planet for some flying, especially when it means checking out some staggeringly giant trees and looking for novel fruits to bring home for testing, or gathering wood for various construction projects. There's also all of the neat tech to be found in the populated areas underground, so he can also be found shopping for upgrades, new media for the library, spare parts, and of course creature comforts. Maybe they even have some donut powder! And since it's been so very long, he can even be found at the water park wearing a ridiculous little yellow Speedo and looking like he's thoroughly enjoying the screaming crowds of young people on inflatable tubes.

Lastly, for those few who might remember, his birthday was officially set as May 16th last time he was in the Fleet, and it's quickly approaching....]

For once, Kurt isn't the most skantily dressed of his ship-mates. Wandering around in a small pair of shorts and sunglasses, he seems content with people-watching for the moment. Seeing so many living so freely never gets old, and he hopes it never will.

His joy is slightly soured when he glimpses Vision, uncertainty curling in his stomach like a foul cat. For a moment he considers turning to walk away, but the android (who he still privately considers his captain) earned his trust long ago. And he technically doesn't disagree with him..

"You know, its still funny. Most people wear less to these places."

Kurt nods, a smile curling the ends of his mouth as he walked over. "I remembered. Wasn't sure if that was more of the same or not." And why. If he'd ever pictured the Vision in any kind of swimwear, it wouldn't have been that (though the yellow oddly suits.)

His question gets a shake of the head, Kurt clarifying a moment later with, "Not yet. In all my travels I've never had chance to experience a place like this. Heard about them, but--is this so close to how it used to be on earth?" Excluding their being underground, of course.

Slightly before Kurt's time; that, or near the beginning when he'd been so preoccupied with pulling together a functioning facade that his attention for anything else was.. lacking. Startlingly, he realizes that he'd been thinking of himself with compassion, and the strangest sense of grief.

Dismissing the thought for later with a blink, Kurt fixes his attention on the other man's description. "So it is fancy, I'd wondered. Most of what I've heard was about Coney Island, which is.. not the same?" The lilt at the end is barely enough to turn it from a statement to a question, and not one he seems overly concerned about an answer to, being as he turns his head to look at some of the tube rides. "..My hair will go to chaos and curls." He chuckles, flashing a grin at Vision. He's vain, but never enough to let it get in the way of a good time. "After you."

"Ah," he answers, as though Vision's answer settles a great deal more than what he'd asked; which is accurate, as he'd never been quite clear on the difference. He's still not, but can add that tidbit to his small bank of knowledge on the matter.

He's all too happy to move on from the topic, chuckling his agreement. "Ah, good to know; mine's nearly gone. Let me go with you then, yes? I'll put in half, seems only fair considering how much of it I go through." In light of his conversation with Remy, this one seems almost surreal. He's been familiar with duplicity at a fairly young age, and yet he still finds it jarring to reconcile the person who thinks nothing of picking up supplies that he doesn't need with one who Remy thought would leave him to die.

Kurt's still mulling over it as they walk, keeping enough attention on the present to not run into anyone. Thankfully this also means he doesn't start when Vision asks if he's ready, though he does pause a moment to consider the tube they're expected to use. "..We're supposed to be sharing that, or?"

"Oh, I'd be more than glad to lend my assistance. I'll not claim to be an expert, but I have experience." Never mind how often Kurt keeps his slicked back, though less than he used to. As the weight on his chest began to fade, he'd found himself with more energy and interest in taking the time required to wrestle with his curls. He'd even found himself considering taking a step further and seeing what kind of beard he could grow, instead of keeping it trimmed even with his fur.

His eyes flick up when the pair rush past, tracking them until they vanish beyond a curve. The set of his jaw relaxes, the only bit that had tensed up, and he flicks his tail in a gesture much akin to a shrug. "I was intending to wrap it around my leg either way. Less chance of it hitting a wall." Which he does as he moves to gracefully settle into the front of the tube, if a little gingerly. He's not entirely certain the tube won't pop.
