Okay, let me guess... you're a member of race of extremely long-lived beings that feel the overwhelming need to roll your eyes at anyone under fifty because oh my god how can we ever get anything done with our teeny tiny lifespans, we should be in diapers or something.

[Koltira winces as Jason talks, though it doesn't seem to be related to anything he's said. It's a moment before he looks up again to reply, gruffly.]

[A beat, and then he adds--]

[ The presence of a security guy and the possibility of getting his hands on an actual weapon because of it is something that registers, but so does that wince. ]

Good to know. But I have to ask... are you okay, there?

[ Smartassery has been temporarily replaced by concern, even if this guy's epithet sounds like a bad metal band. ]

Koltira shakes his head.]

[Actually, it's of growing concern, but he doesn't want to let on.]

[ That's not exactly convincing, but then he's talking to an elf or something with glowy eyes and a voice like Darth Vader in an echo chamber. It's possible his gauges for sincerity aren't properly calibrated. ]
