[When Felix makes this communication at first it's clear that he's just doing it to find out if he really knows how. At first it turns a bit, slowly, but you can see the floor and the view part before it settles on his face.

His eyes are narrow, but not in an aggressive way. Mostly, he's just dealing with the fact that he has all this new information in his head. Shouldn't he be freaking out about it? Instead he just feel calm and curious.]

Well, this is certainly new.

When I said before I was ready for the Maker's Embrace I wasn't exactly thinking it'd be a spaceship. [And that new word comes to him effortlessly, making the joke less awkward that it should have been. He gives the fleet a small, half smile.]

They're going to have to change all of the religious texts, if that's true.

[The tone of his voice and the smile still on his face, showing clearly that he knows he isn't actually dead. He's mostly just dealing with this entire thing by making a joke because he still can't find the energy to be too concerned about it. Even the joke, though, comes off as more a comfortable, muted snark, than that he's expecting to bring the house down with laughter.]

I'm Felix. Obviously, I've just arrived.

For what it's worth, I think recent events were going to be prompting a rewrite anyway.

[You know, because elf mage Herald of Andraste. Oops, sorry scholars.]

How are you feeling, Felix?

[His eyes widen a bit when he sees her, surprised.] Herald! Or, should I say, Inquisitor?

I'm doing as well as can be expected, I believe.

[A pause] How long have you been here?

[And isn't that a relief. After a string of familiar faces who have no idea who she is, it's nice to finally be recognized by someone she had grown to like again.]

Either is fine, but considering we aren't in Thedas any longer you're also welcome to use my first name, Jove.

[There's a fair amount of concern as she looks him over, all things considered. How do you manage the Blight in space if you aren't a Grey Warden? Will his illness simply stop progressing? She'll have to speak to Anders, and perhaps find a healer who will be discreet. Poor Felix.]

It's been a few months, now. There are quite a few of us here you'll recognize, so it shouldn't be too much of a shock. [There's a pause, and then she smiles softly.] Dorian is here, for example.

[Whatever he was going to say, he pauses at the mention of Dorian.]

He is? I... I should find a way to speak to him.

[Though he supposes this network might be the case.]

[You know what would have been a super smart thing for Dorian to mention to Fenris? That Felix exists, and at he isn't a threat. Or...wasn't, as the case may be for Dorian. But he didn't, and a Tevinter accent means nothing but trouble for Fenris. It puts his guard up instantly.

The amicable nature does little to soothe the elf, perhaps it's only the fact Jove seems happy to see him that Fenris doesn't straight up threaten poor Felix. When he does eventually speak, it's in Tevene and very, very guarded. ]

I am sure the Black Divine will survive the change.

[Felix tilts his head a bit at the sound of his language and considers the elf. When he speaks, he does it carefully.]

I'm sure the Chantry will be thrilled. If only there was a way to relay this vital information to them.

[She can imagine their horror and it delights her.]

They don't take well to any sort of challenge in Tevinter.

But I'm guessing you're from the south? You'll have to fill me in on how they react, if we're ever able to tell them.

[He offers her a nervous smile. In part to put her at ease. He doesn't want to be confused for one of those 'evil Tevinter mages.']

I'm sure he'll be along very soon to speak to you, don't worry about that. You've come at a good time, usually people are transferred off the Marsiva on this day. You'll be able to travel freely once you're granted your own permanent ship to live on.

[wolfuncaged]

[Fenris gives a soft scoffing sound. ]

I assure you, things are very different here than in Tevinter.

[He's trying to decide who Felix is. Well bred, that's for certain, perhaps another Altus? ]

You're not allowed to keep slaves for a start.

[No sense in beating round the bush.]

Ah. That's... good?

[A pause, then, as he files that away.] They're managing my, uh, condition as well.

[blightedson]

[Felix is quiet for a moment then, and then he frowns.]

Why would I want to?

[The tension that had been in her shoulders as she worried over that particular trait fades almost the second Felix says that, and she lets out a relieved breath.]

That's wonderful. That's- that's wonderful, Felix.

[After everything this man had done to help the Inquisition, to help her personally, it had been a particularly bitter blow to learn his time was limited. That she would never get to know him the way Dorian had, that his bravery had helped to save the world and he'd never know, it all seems too cruel.

And just in case, just to keep certain people (mostly Fenris) from judging incorrectly, she encrypts the next bit.]

In the vein of assurances, we took care of everything regarding your father. He's working with the mages to fix what he'd started under careful observation by the Inquisition. He's still alive.

[blightedson]

[Felix gives her a smile.]

Yes. I wrote to him after I learned.

Thank you for that, Jove. [It's weird to say her name but he does anyway.] You were within your rights not to spare him, and yet you did.

[Fenris is watching every subtle reaction, every change. Dorian exists, a decent man amongst a pit of vipers, but to extend that to others, to believe that there are decent souls in the Imperium is difficult to accept. Far easier to believe Dorian is an anomaly. His tone is bitter. ]

It is a normal habit, there.

Something being normal one place doesn't make it right in every place.

Or at all.

[Good answer, Felix. Good answer. Fenris doesn't exactly relax, but the edge starts to wane from his voice. ]

Most people from our homeland would disagree with you.

Most people from our homeland think that blood magic is a sign of power, not a sign that a man is too weak to accomplish anything on his own.

They're wrong about that as well.

[Huh, how about that. Fenris sits back, contemplative. ]

You are either a fantastic liar or suicidally honest. I am having trouble deciding which.

Suicide would be redundant, in my case.

[Well, there's a few people who've come back from the dead here. AT leats he's aware it's a Thing. ]

And I thought Dorian was the only one in the Imperium with any sense in his head.

You know Dorian?

My father was his patron. I think we both got some of that sense from him.

[It's just a shame that he lost his own before everything was done.]

He hasn't mentioned you, however.

[He wonders if Felix is perhaps one of Dorian's lovers past. One of the ones that has made him feel as if he is some sort of dirty secret. Where he expects to be left at a moment's notice, deemed not good enough. ]

[Felix doesn't seem too put off at that. He imagines Dorian has more important things to talk about.]

Is that surprising? He'd probably be more apt to speak of my father, if he spoke of us at all.

I'm sure that revisiting the past isn't a favorite way to spend your time here.
