[When Felix makes this communication at first it's clear that he's just doing it to find out if he really knows how. At first it turns a bit, slowly, but you can see the floor and the view part before it settles on his face.

His eyes are narrow, but not in an aggressive way. Mostly, he's just dealing with the fact that he has all this new information in his head. Shouldn't he be freaking out about it? Instead he just feel calm and curious.]

Well, this is certainly new.

When I said before I was ready for the Maker's Embrace I wasn't exactly thinking it'd be a spaceship. [And that new word comes to him effortlessly, making the joke less awkward that it should have been. He gives the fleet a small, half smile.]

They're going to have to change all of the religious texts, if that's true.

[The tone of his voice and the smile still on his face, showing clearly that he knows he isn't actually dead. He's mostly just dealing with this entire thing by making a joke because he still can't find the energy to be too concerned about it. Even the joke, though, comes off as more a comfortable, muted snark, than that he's expecting to bring the house down with laughter.]

I'm Felix. Obviously, I've just arrived.

I take it there isn't much room in your religious text for spaceships?

[Have a curious redhead giving you skeptical eyebrows on the comm screen.]

None at all.

If you want to travel to another world, you go to sleep and visit the Fade.

That sounds convenient, if a little too fuzzy for my tastes.

You could always just write a new religious text. People do it all the time.

I'm not sure I'm much of a leader, in that way.

Though changing to incorporate more of the truth is never a bad thing.

That depends on who you ask. The truth can be a dangerous thing, especially in the hands of the normally ignorant.

I'm not sure I agree with that, but I know many hold that belief.

If you think the truth has any effect on faith, I'd be surprised. Maybe a little jealous. It's been a while since I was that naïve.

What does your magic book have to say about space? Just curious.

Nothing really. Most people think that Thedas is it for the physical world. I don't think we'd even think to look to the sky for much more than the shapes of old stories and the pull that the moon or stars can have on spells.

For someone from a world like that, you're taking this whole spaceship thing pretty calmly. I'd expect much more existential crisis, all things considered.

I know, I would too. [He says that a little wryly]

Hope not. Seems like now would be the most convenient time for a psychotic break, if you're going to have one. Later might just end up getting you killed.

But apparently ratings are the currency around these parts, but you might want to stage at least one breakdown. You know, for the viewers at home.

Although now that I've said it here, they may be onto me.

That or this is all a defensive mechanism so when I do cry myself to sleep they don't think I'm serious.

[His eyes widen a bit at that.]

A mage's dreams can be dangerous. I'm not sure if that would be the smartest idea.

Any dream can be dangerous, if you let the right people see it. What makes a mage's dreams so different?

[She even manages to say the word mage with a straight face.]

When mages dream, there are times that we enter the realm of spirits, called the Fade. Demons are also there, and they use the time that we spend there to tempt us into possession. There are many in Tevinter who seek this out because demons can give you boons if you agree, but it still wouldn't be the sort of thing you'd want out there. What if the demon was able to find a way to use that connection?

Thought you said before that everyone goes to the Fade when they sleep. Do mages just get a special one-way ticket to possession when they fall asleep, then?

Either way, I'm pretty sure whatever brought us all here wouldn't really be keen on the idea of a demon rampage. Unless, you know. For the ratings.

Mages have a stronger connection to the Fade. That connection allows us to do magic.

I admit, my own connection has never been particularly strong, but there are mages here who could do some damage with that sort of thing.

I'm sure you've got plenty of talents that make up for it.

Really, there's no use worrying about demons destroying the fleet. I'm pretty sure Atroma has plenty of other delightful surprises lined up and waiting to be used before they'd ever get around to trying that one out.

That's a relief.

What do they usually do in an attempt to entertain?

Judging from what I've seen? Forced interaction is probably their favorite. You don't really even need to stir the pot, if you've got the right combination of personalities in close quarters.
