[Welcome to the Roads to Riches, lucky members of the fleet! Come here for a wonderful mingle for all your gambling and waystation needs! IN OTHER WORDS, GET IN HERE ITS TIME FOR A MINGLE]
[OOC INFORMATION POST]
Bars, gardens, OTA
[Fenris remembers New Las Vegas form his time in Exsilium. He tried to murder a car. It was the worst time. He frowns at the blinking lights around him, the endless jingles and buzzes of slot machines and makes an 'ugh' sound. ]
Not this again.
[B: Lounge bar]
[Fenris can always be relied on to find the alcohol any place. He's like an elven sniffer dog, that way. Luckily, there is plenty of choice for him, here. Most nights he can be found in one of the lounge bars, curled up on a big chair in a corner with a bottle of wine, largely keeping to himself. ]
[C: Gardens]
[When he's not drinking (because even he needs to give his liver a break) Fenris can be found in the gardens. Sometimes, he just wanders around, barefooted and silent, admiring the plantlife and water features, and enjoying the quiet of the place. Sometimes, he can be found sat at a fountain or a table, squinting at a book in his lap with the sort of ferocity you'd expect him to have with someone he was battling. Which he kind of is. Reading isn't easy, and he treats it like just about everything else he does in life; as a battle.]
Gardens
When he hears Fenris come around, though, he straightens up a bit and looks over at him. He offers Fenris a small smile by way of greeting. He still looks a little sick around the edges but he's trying to put on a good face.]
Fenris. Hello.
no subject
Hello, Felix.
[The not-smile fades, and his brows furrow. ]
You aren't feeling any better?
no subject
[A slight pause, because he wants to be honest with Fenris.] Some of the treatment requires magic. I've never been very good at that part.
I suppose I should learn to be better about asking for help.

He doesn't look quite like the other elves he's seen, but he carries himself like a warrior, and Belth is as intimidated as he is curious.
He tucks his book beneath his arm and peeks around the hedge. He could be stealthy except... for the really long ears poking out, god damn it.]
no subject
And then he sees the pair of ear and exhales. ]
If you are attempting to hide from me, you are not doing a good job of it.
no subject
In the end, though, his curiosity wins. He slinks out from behind the hedge. He's... pretty small, all things considered, and his posture doesn't help.]
You look almost like someone from my homeworld, but not quite. I was trying to decide if you were an elf or half.

Of course, when she sees Fenris, her enthusiasm is dampened somewhat, and she gives him a bit of a frown, like "why are you even here".
THIS GARDEN AIN'T BIG ENOUGH FOR THE TWO OF US ... ]
no subject
What have I done to you now?
no subject
But she rolls her eyes ]

Can I join you?
no subject
Of course, Aveline. I always welcome your company.
[And, because he has been worried about her:] How are you settling in?
no subject
[She sits, stiffly, but with a definite effort to make herself comfortable. Try to relax. It's a vacation, in a place like this, right?]
Anders is my captain.

[It's hard to see, given that no one turns on the lights in these places, but the elf's silvery hair makes him stand out. Steven shouts out his name and slips off the bar stool, wobbling over to see him.
Actually, that's a lot of wobbling for a twelve year old.]
no subject
...Are you alright, Steven?
no subject
[He draws out the word slowly, his eyes narrowing as he assess himself. His mind feels odd, wobbling and flipping, but it's not bad. And anyway, there's Fenris! He beams at him and, with a hup, hoists himself up to sit on the chair arm.]
They need better lighting in this place, though.

Umm...
[ She only turns to look at Fenris briefly, before quickly turning away. Don't stare, don't stare. ]
no subject
He turns sharply at the sound, eyes narrowing. ]
What?
no subject
N-nothing. You just... remind me of someone. [ Except they were more friendly about it to her. ] I'm sorry for staring.

Not that that stops her dropping down on the arm of the chair he's sitting on, draping the arm that isn't holding a large glass of some kind of cocktail she convinced someone else to buy her around his shoulders.]
You look like you're having fun.
[Or. You know. The opposite of that.]
no subject
As such, he doesn't tense up at the sudden contact. Isabela is one of the few people who has earned the right to invade his exceptionally large personal space bubble. He gives a long suffering sigh at it, but it's not out of any actual annoyance, just a token gesture. ]
I'm perfectly content at the moment.

another reason is that he's reading - and he looks frustrated while doing so. is the book way too intense for him? she decides to ask. ]
Hello, ser. Might I ask what you are reading? [ she speaks as she approaches, smiling. ]
no subject
He raises the book, to show the title. It's the crappy romance Cassandra gave him. It's called Thistle and Flame. He has no idea what a Scotsman is, but he hears Sebastian's voice in his head when he reads it. It makes it a hundred times better, but Sebastian's voice has that effect on most things. ]
Someone I know lent it to me.

The hood had prevented her from seeing Fenris, at least until she had sat down. In fact, she had sat down right across from him, and didn't see him until she finally looked up.]
Oh!
[Needless to say, she was surprised. She jolted in her seat, sliding off and smacking her knee against the ground. And of course, since she was wearing a skirt and not pants, it gets scraped up nicely.
Well, just. Gosh darn it to heck.]
Sorry, so sorry. [Leave it to her to be more concerned about bugging the other person than the fact that now her knee is bleeding a bit. She grabs it and tries to hobble off.]
no subject
...For what?
[A pause, then flatly: ]
You're bleeding.
