[ It's part of searching for things to do, part 'maybe I can learn to do tiny things so Jove will be able to focus on harder ones' and part trying not to make enemies of the people he's more or less stuck living with. ]

Was already better than the previous introduction I had. [ He doesn't mean the arrival on Marsiva. But more importantly, let him roll up his sleeves, pull his magic back in, and.. probably just shove his hair down the back of his shirt. ]

I've had to replace quite a few moving parts, so if you'd take that grease there [she points with one hand already covered in stains of the stuff] and smear it anywhere you think looks like it might need grease, that would be helpful.

[Really she's just following along with what her augment tells her is correct, but there's little about this that actually makes sense to Jove. So far her guesses and charging forward have seem to have been working out for the ship, at least.]

[ That looks like a pain to get out of.. everything. Duke is suddenly very glad that he already tucked his hair out of the way. But he picks up that container and looks for something that.. might move. Or is moving and doing so too stiffly or .. something.

... uh.. like this thing. Maybe. ]

Well enough? The space is smaller than I had gotten used to, but the view is fascinating enough that I forget the ... enclosed nature. Food is pretty terrible, when you want to eat something for it's flavor.

We stopped for awhile on a planet that was quite a lot like where this place pulled me from originally, before you joined us. It was nice to see something more familiar, but for the first time in a good handful of months, there was real food. Going back to the gel has been a little heartbreaking, so I really can't fault you for being unimpressed.

[She does sound amused as she speaks, though. It seems silly at times to be too critical of freely provided food, but that doesn't mean living on gel is any more pleasant.]

With a lack of easily acquired fruits, I suppose the only good point is they don't really need cooking to be safe to eat. The chicken blocks, at least.

[ ... He's terrible about this feeding yourself before your stomach tries eating itself thing, sometimes. ]

We'll just have to hold on to the hope that soon we'll come across another planet with something closer to what we're all used to eating.

How big of a cold storage space is already available on the ship? [ If they could find real food, and have a big enough space, and ration it properly, they could potentially last between planets- ]

[She had taken the Dalish approach to it of course, drying what wasn't used for later use, but even that is nearly gone by now.]

Unless there's something hidden somewhere on the ship or we make our own, I believe all we have is what's already in the kitchen area.

If we have a box, I can attempt something. I have a way to keep things warm, provided I charge it enough. Possibly try with something.. like a damp cloth, see if it comes out frozen...?
