Of course.
[She straightens and waits patiently for Jove to work her way back out.]

Once she wriggles free of the engine, Jove smiles at Cassandra as she wipes her hands off on her coveralls. She'd taken to wearing the provided clothing for looking after things on the ship, finding her Dalish armor far too restrictive and not wanting to damage it, but now she feels almost at home in the modern outfit.
What's better is she looks nothing at all like a leader of anything dressed like this, hands stained with grease and hair hastily tied up out of the way. She loves the Inquisition, would never give up leading them, but everyone needs a break.]
It's good to see you, Cassandra. [Just to get that out of the way, be sure Cassandra will continue to visit without invitation whenever she feels the urge to.] How have you been finding it here?
no subject
[As always, Cassandra's opinion is critical and somewhat harsh. She's found herself irritated by more than just a small handful of the other members of the fleet. But she's settled well enough.]
[No one's died yet. She hasn't really hit anyone either.]
no subject
I understand. Being forced to get used to something there was no chance of you ever experiencing is very trying.
[If it were the Cassandra she knew, that knew her, there would be a teasing tone to that. Gentle prodding, reminding Cassandra she'd been the exact reason Jove had left her clan and ended up in Haven, and then Skyhold, but this Cassandra might as well be a stranger to her. If she makes those kinds of jokes so early into their friendship, she runs the risk of it sounding accusatory when it isn't in anyway.
She smiles at Cassandra just so that's as clear as possible, moving around the engine to approach the other woman.]
Would you like to sit and talk?
no subject
If you have the time. I can always come back another time if you don't. I know you're busy with... [She looks at the engine with a vague gesture.] Things.

[So much groaning already and it hasn't even been that long. Poor Cassandra.
Motioning for Cassandra to follow her, Jove leads the way out of the engine room... but then stops in the common area of the ship. Hmm.]
Would you rather speak in private, or is the kitchen alright with you?
no subject
The kitchen is fine.
[If Jove is seriously going to ask for her opinions on things, she doesn't really have any that she wouldn't say to anyone else right now. In fact, while she has no intention of ranting, she starts in anyway.]
I thought dealing with Sera at times was trying, but some of the people here...
[She comes close to growling. Her frustration is palpable.]
They treat this like it's a game simply because they were brought here for the purpose of entertainment. Or they seem to take a great amount of pleasure in arguing or making things as difficult and complicated as possible.
no subject
They're all valid, of course. Many of the people Jove had come into contact with took nothing seriously there, only snapping to it when there was a dragon to fight or a space battle thrust upon them. Everyone had been shaken up then, but from her experience there had been quite a lot of slacking off.]
When I was first told we were brought here for entertainment, I dismissed it almost immediately. Even after everything I had seen at home this all seemed far too elaborate and frankly pointless to be something someone would set up to entertain anyone.
Of course, then the money for my... performances, started to come in. I was able to put it towards supplying myself and my friends with the things they needed on one of our previous planets, so I was given a quick introduction to how beneficial it could be to play along. It let me buy the herbs needed to brew a tea to keep Cullen from feeling quite so sick, and it let me give Solas paints and brushes to have something from home to feel a little more grounded here.
[That was a bit long-winded, so Jove smiles faintly and shrugs one shoulder.]
That isn't an excuse for the entire fleet to act out, of course, but I suppose I can see the benefit of playing towards their audience. It might make being here a little more bearable in the long run.
no subject
I should thank you. For looking after Cullen.
I'm sure by now he's given you more gratitude for it than you know what to do with, but I also appreciate it, Inquisitor. It puts my mind at ease to know he has so many that would look after him and ease his suffering.
[She isn't going to say anything about Solas, however. She hasn't had a chance to speak with him yet and it seems unfair of her to say anything until she knows his side of things.]
no subject
[Of course, thanks primarily to Fenris, Jove is no stranger to people thanking her for doing things that should be second nature to everyone. And it's Cullen, of course. She'd do these things, does do them, for every one of her companions.]
He's stubborn, of course. Hopefully with you here, two of us to look after him will have better luck.
no subject
Perhaps, [she says with a small nod. It's a nice thought if nothing else. But really, at the end of the day, it's down to Cullen. She has a feeling Jove knows that as well.] The others seem to be managing fine on their own.
