Who: Pathstone crew + ANYONE EVER WOW
Broadcast: nah bro
Action: YAH BRO

[Is the Pathstone more capable with a captain missing and another one replace with someone who does their job? How many people can fit into a captain's nest? Why is there a captain's nest? Has Solas painted the entire interior of the ship yet? Has Cole talked to each and every plant? Has Duke discovered that his ship has been previously worthless since basically the beginning of time? Will Crowley ever try to get his captain status back?

Tune in now for the answers to these questions and more in this episode of As The Pathstone Turns!]

[ His eyebrows raise, then, his head turning to look at her all over again, a tilt of his head before he shakes it, letting his eyes dance away again, smothering the laughter he feels bubbling inside of him.

How ridiculous she is, this charming young woman. ]

Now you are teasing me, Jove.

[ It looks nothing like that, he's sure. ]

Ah, just a little. Of course.

[ He smiles at her, and that is his gift to her for now. His tenderness towards Jove is founded upon the closeness they shared here, an understanding that they have walked a path together that he does not remember but she does, that she knows him better than he knows her. He has made attempts to undo that gap, of course, but there is only so much to be done.

Stepping away from the murals, he blinks, curious and caught as he considers. ]

No, I suppose not. You've always shown a great interest.

[ He watches her, before he moves the brushes over and steps to a clear part of the wall. ]

This way, then.

Would I have agreed if it was an issue?

[ He nods towards the wall, tilting his head as he gazes. It doesn't take him long to lift his charcoal, to begin to sketch a simple design, up and over the blank space, drawing shapes and watching as they come together, slow and sure. Under his fingertips a wolf is born, sure and steady, and he marks in all it's features - eyes, jaw, snout and nostrils, coming together to show off the creature.

She won't understand the symbolism, but...

Dropping his charcoal, he brushes his hands free of the soot before he turns back. ]

Begin with the largest part - the body.

[ He will never admit why he is so fond of wolves, but it is obvious that he feels a kinship to them. Cole had noticed it, once upon a time, and now he paints them because he has the freedom to do it without hesitation and concern. He simply paints, allows himself to work through his art rather than dwelling on all the things he wishes he couldn't change. It's a difficult task, surely, but he does what he can.

His eyes dance over to her and he smiles, bowing his head. ]

They are what I am most practised at.
