Tired.
Very, very tired.

I should let you get your rest, then. Just give me a moment to collect my things.
[She'd stripped her bed to make the nest a little more comfortable for herself, so she starts to sort through the sheets and pillows to reclaim them.]

his skin looks like skin again, so that's an improvement. his necklace is still gone, though. so, he takes a moment before committing himself to the last of his undressing to fish the gem out of the pocket of his jumpsuit.]
...You really made yourself comfortable there, didn't you?
no subject
That doesn't make her feel any less foolish admitting it, though.]
The Dalish made beds like this sometimes, when we stopped for any long period to camp. I suppose I was feeling homesick.

also, he's down to one article of clothing. it's not going to last once he deems the nest ready to sleep in.]
Why don't you build one of your own?
[it sounds more like an honest question than a pointed suggestion, probably. it's hard to ever really know with him, but it is the sort of sentiment he could quietly understand, maybe--especially with some of their conversations in the past.]

I forget sometimes that not all cultures share freely between each member. Of course my clan believed in having personal possessions, but the idea that we would share between us was just a given. Perhaps some habits just die too hard.

Unfortunately, not all cultures are as as communal as ours.
[there-- 'ours.' their peoples' habits are similar, they're likely used to similar sorts of things, and it's as much of a statement as he's going to make about it.
she can take it as she will.
and if she'll excuse him, he's going to finish getting undressed and go to bed now.]

A little warning would have been nice, but beyond a momentary stammer as she tries to remember what she was going to say, his sudden nakedness doesn't seem to bother her.
She is going to toss a pillow (not hers) toward his crotch in an attempt to cover him, though.]
There's an argument to that that would say learning new things is good, but I won't deny I've struggled at times getting used to living with humans.

oh how he missed his nest--his lair.]
And that's why I make a habit of seeking out kindred spirits.
[he waves his hand then, shooing her toward the door. he is absolutely done talking. it's sleep time now.]
Now... go away.
no subject
A dismissal, is it? [Feeling too stubborn now, she brings her legs up onto the bed and crosses them beneath her, looking quite comfortable.] I think I'll stay, be sure you fall asleep alright.
no subject
it's his turn to raise his eyebrows now, as she settles down, and he gives her a weary smirk.]
...Are you inviting yourself into my bed?
no subject
Of course not. I was considering staying in the captain's bed. It is my right, after all.
no subject
Suit yourself.
[but he's not going to sacrifice any of his comfort for her-- he's not moving over much, and he's certainly not going to offer to put any of his clothes back on.]
no subject
It's just that easy, is it?
no subject
Problem? It was your idea.
