[ Still psychologically diminished due to the separation from Dranzer, Kai heeded the call of the planet with only a small degree of hesitation. He stands now before a mammoth tree, bare palm pressed flat to the bark, and gazes wonderingly at the thick canopy above. When the energy wave comes, it slams into him like a freight train; scarf whipping out wildly behind him, he throws an arm up to protect his face. It dies down quickly, but the direction of the source is obvious.

He goes.

The dragon doesn’t come as a surprise, really. He’s experienced similar explosions of energy during bey battles, especially those with manifested bit-beasts. Still, he’s not a fool—this creature hardly gives off a friendly vibe. So he scales a nearby tree, muscles straining, to get some high ground over the beast. Though he doesn’t move to make contact with the dragon, he does track it, out of curiosity more than anything. ]

[with the way the thing stalks along in a crouched, vulturine sort of stance, it's hard to say whether it would be twenty, or more like thirty feet tall if it straightened up a bit. either way, it seems more or less scaled to the giant trees around it, able to move comfortably in the space between the trunks.

and oh does it move more silently than it seems like something of that size should be allowed to. with all the grace of a smaller predator, it makes an effort to be quiet as it slinks along. it doesn't particularly seems to be hunting, though. instead of focusing on following some trail ahead of it, the dragon lifts its head and listens for distant sounds, watching for any approaching threat.

it hasn't noticed the much smaller presence nearby, though. not yet.]
