[As usual, the broadcast shows the medical lab of the Blue Fish, with Allen at his usual table. Though unlike last time, there's his golden golem in the background- seeming to be gesturing with his wings like he's trying to sign what Allen's saying- too bad sign language doesn't make much sense when the speaker just has wings. Allen meanwhile, seems completely oblivious to Tim's "help"]

Hello all. This is Allen Walker, one of the medics aboard the SS Blue Fish.

I just wanted to let you know that this Sunday on the SS Blue Fish, we'll be holding another blood drive for blood transfusions. For those who are unfamiliar with blood transfusions, it's a medical practise that can make sure that people don't die of blood loss by giving them spare blood.

Anyone who donates will be given cookies and drink. Donors can also get paid in their choice of money, food, or prize vouchers for those who aren't having any luck in the casino. If you are interested and haven't donated before, please fill out this form here! [And here comes a handy form]

If anyone would like to volunteer or have any questions, please let me know! Any vampiric volunteers must be able to show restraint around fresh blood and will not be allowed to sample any donations.

Really? I've...never heard of a place called Exsilium on Earth before. Where is it?

I see. That's certainly more advanced than a lot of worlds here, so that's something. [And comforting!!]

Ah- Fifty kilograms is the minimum.

[Omg, Allen no. AND SHEENA HAS NO IDEA even though his accent is kinda similar to the natives.]

It was a big island. I saw maps... I think it used to be called Britain? All I remember is being cold and miserable constantly. And then it got colder. And more miserable.

[Her face pales somewhat.]

Oh. Er, why don't I just get weighed when I come in? [Maybe she gained muscle weight or something.]

...A-Ah. I see.

[Well. Shit. That ain't good. What do you even say to that???]

That'll be fine.

[... Best not to tell him it got nuked then. She's sensitive though, and picks up on his discomfort.]

Don't worry too much. There's a million different Earths out there, and the Initiative messed with time travel so much that there's probably a million more. I really doubt it's your world specifically.

[Man, she's not sure she weighs enough. She pokes her stomach off-screen as if that might tell her.]

Ah...you're probably right. It's very unlikely they're the same. [Or if it is, it's very far in the future] Still, it's Earth.

[Which hey, that's home. No matter how many years it's been.]

There was someone messing with time traveling there?

Your name's Allen, right? ... Would it be weird if I told you that I met you before? We weren't close or anything, and I don't expect anyone to remember.

[She thinks about the people she met there. The natives, both involved and not. Her tone turns solemn.]

Multiple people were messing with time travel. The Initiative was supposedly on our side, and the reason why we were there. They were a group that opposed the United Earth, who were heading to other worlds to destroy them and take their resources. The Initiative focused on sending us back in time so we could prevent the U.E. from gaining power.

It didn't always work like it was supposed to.

[He blinks a little, surprised] We've met...before...?

[That's a new one, but not entirely so after a couple encounters here. But he listens to the explanation about what they were doing, his frown shows a bit of disapproval- not at Sheena, but at the situation. He doesn't have any real experience with true time travel, but...that sounds too much like meddling in powers that no human should meddle with.]

...They must have been desperate to resort to such measures. [Or reckless beyond compare]

You lived with one of my friends on Exsilium. Lloyd and Colette don't remember visiting either.

[She crosses her arms, resting against the console.]

They were. It was the future of the universe at stake, or something. We managed to stop the U.E. eventually, but we lost so much in the process. It was war on a scale I've never seen before.

Anyway, I'm glad it's over. This place is like a vacation in comparison.

[He frowns; feeling a little guilty.] ...I'm very sorry, I don't remember.

[It's a weird feeling. He's been forgotten for years, but to be on the other side of it...he's not sure what to do]

[And ugh, that story also makes his heart hurt. How much was lost? Was it really worth it? If he was apparently there, was he helpless to stop it there too?]

Yes...I'd imagine this would be a vacation. [He shakes his head] I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring up painful memories for you.

It's okay! It's fine. Now I can get to know you properly. It's normal not to remember stuff like that.

[She's honest in that, at least.]

I was the one who brought it up in the first place. I'm not crying about it, so I think I'm doing pretty good.

[Gotta be strong.]

Anyway, it's not fair if I know your name but you don't know mine. I'm Sheena.

[Yep. Very weird on the other side. And he's not...sure about that doing good part, but- he'll let it slide. It isn't his business]

It's nice to meet you, Sheena.

[She brightens visibly.] W-wow, I thought you were gonna say no. Everyone's so friendly here.

[Sheena is bad at making friends but not quite as bad as she used to be. It's mostly just, wow, people don't know she was exiled from her village or that she's a lower class citizen so they don't give a fuck.

That's nice.]

[It's okay Sheena. Allen was a hobo and is a wanted fugitive from his Order. He won't be judging if he finds out.]

[But he smiles at her]

Why would I say no? We're all in this fleet together.

[Shounens are good company for a shounen with boobs.]

I guess you're right. Things were different on my world. Still getting used to it a couple years later.

[Ah. He knows that one. There's a bit of a knowing look when he speaks]

I see. That could colour anyone's perception.

Still, be careful. Expect the worst in people, and you'll often find that's what you wind up getting.

I try not to. Part of it is... learning to accept yourself, if that makes sense. Enough that you'll stand up for yourself when you've been wronged rather than taking it lying down.

Ah....

[A bit sheepishly] I guess I've never had the problem of being willing to take things lying down. [HE WILL HIS OWN ASS!!]

[HE SCREAM AT OWN ASS??? Well if you're sharing a body with a Noah I guess so.]

Where I'm from, they'll execute you even if you're not guilty. I thought I didn't have a choice or even a future.

I don't think that way anymore, though. [She smiles and looks away, obviously thinking of someone fondly.] Someone a little bit like you changed everything.

I see. Sounds like a harsh world...

[Even if he's heard of worlds like that before, including Earth - it didn't make it any less terrible, or wrong. ]

It is, but we're working on it. A lot of things have changed in the past year and they'll only get better. It just takes time.

[Her smile grows.]

Yep. He's a stubborn idealist if I've ever met one. You tell him he can't do something, and I swear he'll find a way to prove you wrong.

[He smiles a little at that]

I'm glad to hear that. I'm sure if you keep at it, it will get much better.

[Not that he knows...many of the deets, but still!! GOTTA BELIEVE AND HAVE OPTIMISM]

Ah- [He gives a little laugh] And you're saying you think I'm that stubborn?

Yeah.

[OPTIMISM!!!]

Maybe, I don't know you that well. But you seem like you try to see the best in everyone, and that's the way he is.

Ah- well, I certainly try! Though I don't always succeed...

[What with people having a tendency to suck and all. Plus his own hot temper]

[People definitely suck. And Sheena knows her own temper is pretty terrible at times.]

Lloyd. You might've met him before. Loud idiot in red? He's kinda hard to miss.

It's better than always seeing the worst.

[He smiles]

Oh! I know Lloyd! Mostly by reputation though. [You know, thanks to listening to Colette gush about the guy for YEARS]
