[ While the Windrose folks will recognize her, Anya's been spending time going back through the archives to get an idea of what's been going on and what these people are like instead of actually talking to them just yet, so she is decidedly not a familiar face.
When she speaks, she has a definite Hispanic accent - a mix of Mexican and Puerto Rican, for anyone who would be able to tell. ]
Hey, my name's Anya, I'm on the Windrose. I, uh, haven't really said much on the network since I got here. Kind of got distracted catching up on what's been going on. Oops?
[ She smiles and shrugs sheepishly ]
Anyway, it's Mother's Day, right? Or close enough? So I feel like everybody should take a minute to think about your mamá back home. Unless you didn't have a great mom, then I guess think about someone else who was like a mom, yeah? Also do something for nice for any moms you know here, 'cause they're probably missing their kids a lot, being stuck here.
I want to say thank you and I love you to my mom Carol, because she has done so much for me and always believes in me and taught me how to protect myself from assholes with superpowers. [ grin ] Best mom, even if she's a total nerd.
[ And then, on the encrypted Comms officer channel or whatever it is ]
Hey, fellow Communications people, que pasa? We totally have our own secret chat room, basically, how cool is that? Who all is one of us, anyway?
