It wouldn't be a Coulsand-Theirin Birthday Bash Without Cheese Wheels~
Who: Riona, Leliana and friends of the birthday girl /o/ (also new friends are welcome too)
Broadcast: N/a
Action: The Space Bar
When: Evening, September 3rd (now basically)

[The location might be a little more over the top than what Riona would expect, and yet this is Leliana we are talking about, alright. Not only that but she tried her best along with Marian and Beverly to make this a party the Ferelden Queen can remember. It truly was a party for the ages, as much as could be done at least.
Guests are greeted at the entrance with tables lined with simple table cloth, balloons and streamers and candles as a centerpiece. Finding a seat should not be terribly hard, though Leliana fully expects the errant party crasher which is why there is enough food for everyone. And booze, of course. It would not be a Thedas crew party without copious amounts of alcohol.]

And that was no surprise, the Commander was vivacious and loving and he didn't know a single person who couldn't look at her and love her. Except for that one tart that tried to have her killed, but people were also wrong sometimes.
So he just maintained and helped where he could to make sure the party continued without issue and, once things had calmed down and some of the guests had left, he sat beside her. Part of him wished he could join her with his own glass of wine, but there'd be little point in it.
He let his arm brush hers and slid over a little box with Spirit's colors emblazoned on it.]
I got you something, I hope it's the right shade of blue.

Riona is sitting to catch her breath a moment, but she looks up and smiles when she sees Anders plunking down next to her.]
Oh, you didn't have to!
[Her brow wings up at the little box. She takes it and pops it open. Maker, it's a lovely ring. But of course, she has to react accordingly. As dramatic as possible, Riona slaps a hand over her heart.]
But Anders, I'm already married!
no subject
Say it isn't so! My true love, married to another, whatever shall I do?
Ah well, guess I'll have to settle for my boyfriend.
[His smile shines, far brighter than it's been in a while. It even reaches his eyes. Being with Riona simply felt like that. Yes, there was baggage, but he could almost forget about it when he was around her. She was, perhaps, the only person in the entire fleet he and Justice agreed on a hundred percent.]
I stand by what I said before: a pretty lady deserves pretty things, especially you. [He shrugs.] That and I wouldn't trust myself to pick out a good sword for you, I'm not very good with them, myself.
no subject
[Now she's laughing.]
I think your boyfriend will do.
[She's glad to see him smiling. It feels like too long since she's last seen it, even if it really hasn't been that long.]
Thank you, Anders. Really. But no worries; my captain got me a sword so I'm quite satisfied.

I suppose I'll cover the finer things for now. Perhaps next time it'll be a dress. I'll have to get your size from Sister Nightengale...
[He's mostly joking. He'd consider the dress, but asking Leliana might be more tricky. If she didn't simply end up inviting herself along for the shopping, she was Orlesian raised, after all.]
no subject
[Not entirely true, but it makes her far more effective.
At his suggestion, though, however joking, her body tenses in fear.]
Don't you dare. I've already gotten her trying to shove me into enough of those.
no subject
[Her reaction causes a smile to bloom across his face.]
No? Let's see, I'm picturing something frilly and coral pink, with at least three layers to the skirt. Maybe a corset-bodice as well? Ah, yes and some frilly, thin, shoes to match.
[Okay, now he's definitely joking.]
no subject
You little-! You know pink is not my color! At least get that right.
no subject
No? Not a soft pink Warden-Helmet in your future, complete with maybe a forest-green plume out of the back of it? You can wear it with the dress and the dainty shoes and I'll find you a fan in the shape of a shield that you can cover your face with like those ladies in Orlais.
[He said the O-word. This is probably the end of the line for his teasing, but what a way to finish off. If he could draw, he'd be tempted to make her a picture of this ensemble.]
no subject
[She is never ever letting her husband live that one down. Ever.
She stops in her tracks and glowers at him. How dare you bring Orlais up, Anders? And as a comparison to herself. The nerve!]
Maker's breath, are you trying to get me to shove you into the nearest waste bin?
no subject
Alright, Commander, you win. I rescind the whole thing.
How about, instead, my next gift is a practice dummy you can slay every time Orlais' brought up?
no subject
no subject
How about...Ser Percival...Rutherford, Champion of Val Royeaux?
no subject
no subject
[What are you trying to say, Riona? He definitely didn't draw any inspiration from anywhere.]
How about Hubert instead of Percival? We knew an Orlesian named Hubert in Kirkwall, he was an awful man. Probably deserved to be whacked with a sword a few times.
no subject
Yes, Hubert sounds much more fitting. Hubert du Poosalot. And he'll be thoroughly whacked, I assure you.
