[Hiro is going to be spending a rather ridiculous amount of time in the volcano checking out the holograms and all of the tech inside. This kind of thing fascinates him, of course.

[Otherwise, he is going to be found either helping out around town with non-dangerous jobs, or hanging out in the marketplace.

[Specifically, he'll be eyeing a very, very pretty dagger with ornate graving at a blacksmith's. It's expensive. He's set himself the goal of using only money he gets while he's here to get it.

[As for clothing, he's been changed into peasant garb. This makes him a lot less assuming when he's trying to make some coin yanking carrots out of the ground.]

[ Steffa is very grateful for her own clothes, because she's being afforded some measure of respect, at least. She may not have a lot of money, but even in a simple design not intended to call attention to her rank (or former rank), her Warden armor is very high quality.

Like the Wardens at Vigil's Keep were going to let their Warden-Commander leave without the best they could give her?

She's looking over some mid-quality bows, mentally trying to work out how much work she'll need to do to afford a couple of them. ]

Thank you, I still need to visit the other vendors, but I will certainly keep you in mind when I come to a decision.

[He's saying it in a way that suggests he means it earnestly, not that he's questioning her right to be here.]

I'm looking for a bow. Well, a couple of bows, actually. Back home, I had a bow that had been treated to work as a focusing staff for my magic. It was really amazing, if I do say so myself.

I'm not entirely sure what the process is to make foci, but I know some steps, and I know the theory, so I want to see if I can manage it on my own, with a bow that's already been made.

[ Her expression and the way she talks about it... well, it's not science or robotics, but Hiro probably would recognize it from himself and his friends back home.

She's trying to innovate, or at least learn to be able to do things herself that she's not entirely sure how to do but that it would be very useful for her to be able to do. Just with magic instead. ]

Is it? I mean, using something other than a staff as a magical focus is uncommon, but I found it was a lot more useful.

[As Adachi's passing through the town, he decides to meander through the marketplace. When he approaches the blacksmith's, he looks somewhat bored as he peers over the wares. Then he notices the young boy standing close-by, eyeing a particular knife.]

Quite an impressive piece of work. You a collector?

[Hiro turns, looking over at the man that's approached him. The way he speaks tells him that despite never having met him, this man is one of the people from the fleet.]

Not quite, but I might be interested in starting to be if I can find more like this one.

[Adachi looks up at the blacksmith, who currently has his back to them. He then picks up the dagger, balancing it in the palm of his hand. He appraises its weight and the feel of the grip, before offering it to Hiro.]

Not a bad one to start with. [Then he remembers he's supposed to be the "adult" here, much less a former police detective.] But! Kids should be careful with these things. Weapons are dangerous after all.

[He says these words with the sort of false bravado one would expect from someone who doesn't take his job that seriously. He gives a sort of "all-knowing" wink when he finishes, which only serves to add to the cheesiness of it all.]

[He gives a little smile, and takes the hilt of the blade so that he can look it over.]

I know a thing or two about danger. Besides, some things that have happened here haven't exactly been "kid-safe".

[Hmmm? Danger this kid says. Adachi kind of inwardly scoffs at the idea that this kid could possibly have the same notion of "danger" that he does. However, he does consider what it means to be a member of this fleet... not that there's been anything exceptionally life threatening so far. Nonetheless, the whole "kid-safe" line catches Adachi's interest.]

"Kid-safe" huh? Has it really been all that dangerous around here?

[Adachi surveys their immediate vicinity, playing like he misunderstood Hiro.]

[She means daggers in general, and comes out of nowhere like that's a totally normal and acceptable way to greet people. It's not creepy at all to just appear, right? Right.]

Uhh, no, I've never used one in battle before. Thought it might be worthwhile to try it out.

Should get something... that's not flashy, then. For learning. Something you're okay dropping.

[She moves past him a little, looking over what's available. The craftsmanship is all quite fine, but there's a plain set of daggers that would be better, both for his size and for a beginner and she points at them.]

Get those. I'll teach you.

[... Eh, he'll make the money back.

[He shrugs, and calls over the smith, explaining that he wants the set, and handing over the money. He takes the daggers, and turns to look at Cass now that he has them.]

... Now what?

[Tsuna's looking at daggers, too. One part of him really doesn't want to buy one, since that just seems like asking for something to happen. Plus, he'd really rather have his gauntlets. On the other... he needs something to defend himself. Nothing on Paradisa's scale has occurred yet, but living at the magical castle has taught him that things are really, really not what they seem at first glance.

And he... might just have enough money to get it. His ratings must be low, because he really doesn't make much of a salary at all. But it's been a few months, and other than spending it on a few more clothes and some decent meals, it's been piling up.

He's very carefully counting the money that he has-- probably not the wisest idea to do it out in the open, but oh well.

That's when his shoulder is bumped. Not very hard, but just enough to jerk his hand enough that a bunch of chips falls out of it.]

Ack-- c-crap!

[He instantly stoops down to gather them up. Hopefully nobody will take the small pile on the counter...]

[Hiro was turning to move on down the table when he has a minor collision with Tsuna. He jerks back immediately, making a small noise of surprise.]

Uh, whoops--

[Oh, shit he dropped everything. Now Hiro's moving down to help him pick it all up.]

[ There's a rather confused and curious older man watching all of this checking-out, possibly actually following Hiro around while he looks at all the technology going on. Eventually he makes himself known. ]

[ This girl's in the market for some knives and such herself. As much as she ... really, really hates this whole stupid town and all of the crap that comes with it, she's pretty keen on hoarding a bunch of weapons. You know, just in case shit goes down.

But she spies a familiar kiddo checking out that fancy dagger ... aw! So pretty! She's just ... standing right behind you now, admiring your taste in weapons. ]

Ino! Hey... [HE LIGHTS UP A LITTLE but he's containing it pretty well, looking back at the dagger.]
