[What's this? An actual transmission from Kaneis? It's on voice only, and guess what- he sounds as apathetic as ever.]

Hey, I don't want to alarm anyone, but I was looking at the scans earlier while trying not to crash into these space rocks- asteroids? Whatever.

Anyway, you remember those guys that tried to kill us about two months ago? The guys that kicked the living crap outta us? Those guys? Yeah, I think they're back again. At least, that's what the scanner says, it's hard to really get a good read.

[He gives a yawn] Yeah. Just thought someone would like to know.

[Whoa he had forgotten Lloyd was behind him and it even makes him jump a little in his seat when Lloyd starts yelling behind him. And what do you know, he's saying things better than Kaneis's plan of verbally keysmashing his issues at her since goddess why did she not get taking shots for him was the opposite of what he wanted?!]

Y-Yeah, what he said.

[He's just...gonna try to reel in his emotions here!]

[If there's one person Sheena is guaranteed to listen to besides Zelos, it's Lloyd. Nothing quite like being yelled at to inspire the shit out of you. He's right, though. He's articulated Kaneis' feelings better than he could, and while Sheena's pride stings a little, she understands that Lloyd is right. They're both right.

She's too foolishly brave sometimes and this is one of those times. They don't have to fight alone anymore.]

I--

[She swallows hard, tries again.]

I'm sorry. You're right. Both of you.

[No sacrifices means not throwing people in harm's way. Including herself. Including her crew, especially, though of course she'd eat her own foot before she'd let harm come to them.]

I wasn't actually here when the attack happened. I only saw the aftermath, so I thought we'd be okay-- but we wouldn't be, and what I suggested really wasn't okay either.

[A pause.]

... I forgot to encrypt this, didn't I.

I was sitting behind Kaneis, so I heard the whole thing.

[ so lbr he would have snatched the communicator out of Kaneis's hand if it was encrypted. ]

And it's fine. Just-- Don't worry about that sort of thing. We're in this together, which means we watch out for each other.

[He eases up a little, feeling relief. He's still a bit stressed out that was thrown in his face, but- at least she relented. Not going to try to sacrifice herself, thank goodness.]

Yeah....we got time, so we can come up with a better plan or something.

[And ha. right. Lloyd overhearing. He admits a bit sheepishly]

Ha- yeah, I kinda forgot he was there.

I know. It's not an excuse, but... I forgot. We've just been on our own for so long...

[She takes in a deep breath, lets it out.]

I still think staying in a group is our best option, but we won't be taking hits for anyone. Okay?

Sounds good! And like Kaneis said, we'll definitely think of a better plan.

[ if it was anything like last time, they'd have a while yet before those goons showed up again. ]

I can't even imagine what it was like for you guys before, but don't worry. Not everyone's here, but you're not alone in this-- not anymore. [ that could be directed to either Sheena or Kaneis-- the point stands either way. ]

[He shifts a little uncomfortably at this whole team spirit moment. Because seriously, still very much used to being on the team again. ]

[But at least his more pragmatic side is coming back, so he'll focus on that]

Uh, Right...the Wonderduck and the Vanquish should probably stick near each other then. Maybe figure out similar evasion moves? What's your engineer like?

As for the engineer, I... don't really know him that well. He's kind of-- we're still getting used to him. He's new.

[... yeah.]

No problem! I'll go on and leave you two alone, now.

[ but he's keeping an eye on you, mark my words.

[He turns and makes an annoyed look at Lloyd]

It's not leaving us alone if you keep sitting behind me!

[SHEESH CAPTAIN SO RUDE. But he'll shake his head and look back at the screen]

But right. New. Well, guess if he turns out to suck we could get another engineer to help improve the ship.

[She laughs weakly. Lloyd please.]

Yeah, I guess so.

[Sheena looks down at her lap. She's feeling really really awkward after that... fight...]

When we're through this minefield, do you... want me to come over?

[He...is also feeling the awkward. It was very awkward, showing emotions over the network, having to get it broken up by Lloyd. He can also tell Sheena is feeling very awkward. He should...probably do something to help clear the very heavy air]

You mean for a "Yay we survived this mess" make out session? Sure, of course! ♥

[ZELOS WHAT THE HELL KIND OF TACTIC IS THAT.]

[Sheena goes red, and then she sees red.]

I'm gonna punch you in your big mouth!

[... Well, everything's back to normal, at least.]
