Who: Kaneis Major
Broadcast: Voice, all fleet.
Action: SS Wonderduck
When: This week!
[What's this? An actual transmission from Kaneis? It's on voice only, and guess what- he sounds as apathetic as ever.]
Hey, I don't want to alarm anyone, but I was looking at the scans earlier while trying not to crash into these space rocks- asteroids? Whatever.
Anyway, you remember those guys that tried to kill us about two months ago? The guys that kicked the living crap outta us? Those guys? Yeah, I think they're back again. At least, that's what the scanner says, it's hard to really get a good read.
[He gives a yawn] Yeah. Just thought someone would like to know.

The guys who attacked us. I dunno anything more about them, they aren't exactly chatty.
Voice
What did they look like at least?
Voice
But if you see weird blips on the scanner that move out of range before you can get a good read? That's them.
Voice
[ Not that many, Zuko. ]
Voice
The ones moving at a more steady pace are just asteroids.
Voice
[ There are other things in space! ... Sort of.
He doesn't know a lot about space. ]
Voice
...I take it you're not familiar with the Laws of Motion, are you?
Voice
I know how motion works.
[ Just not a lot about the vacuum of space. ]
Voice
[Now excuse him as he goes on to explain it anyway because of course he memorized the mathematical-esque laws of science. In fact he even loses the apathy in his tone while he talks because HOMG MATH.]
Anyway, the first Law of Motion is that an object that's in motion will stay in motion unless something affects it. If you're on a planet and you throw something, that "something" is usually air resistance and gravity, and they cause whatever you throw to slow down and eventually stop.
But space is a vacuum so there's no air to resist anything! And gravity's only a problem if you get too close to a planet or star and your ass is moving too slow. So things already in motion stay in motion. What does that mean? That unless an object out here has a way to change it's speed on its own, like say a ship's engine, it should be moving at a pretty consistent speed on the radar.
If it's not? Then it's a ship or something really weird.
Voice
He does listen carefully though. This is actually good to know, even if he's not saying thanks for the lesson. ]
And there aren't any other kind of ships out there other than these ones and our own?
