Hey. So. It sounds like I've been kidnapped to participate in some crazy holo-show with a bunch of other people who've been kidnapped. I guess that's not evil, but it's still really annoying.

I'd make a stink about getting out of here once I find out where those jerks hid my lightsaber, but I've got a feeling that's not going to help much. So... hi. I'm Vima Sunrider. Are there any other Jedi around here?

[Vima is exploring before and after she makes that transmission... checking out the weird exercise equipment, looking at the big transmission screens, poking her head into the cafeteria, and mostly looking for other people.

You might also find her staring out of the bay windows, wondering just where in the Galaxy she is.]

Hey, Aang. Yeah, I dunno. This spaceship is way different than any one I've ever been in. [it's so weird and sleek and sterile, not at all like the GFFA clunkerjunkers she's schlepped around on.]

No idea? Eesh, I wonder if we just got taken way into Unknown Space. What's a Bender do?

Um... this space is definitely unknown for me! We benders, we can control the elements! It's what we do.

Well, sure--wait, this is your first time in space? [Man, he must be from a primitive world. Or way out in the space boonies.]

The elements? You mean like minerals and gases and stuff? Wow!

Yep! It's a lot more... spacey than I imagined!

[And he continues to nod along. Minerals... they're part of earth, right? And gases are just air... so it makes sense.]

That's right, all of those! It can be pretty neat!

[Stefan's taken towards sitting by the bay windows, notebook in hand as he scribbles out his first impressions. His memories are jumbled enough without adding outer space reality TV in the mix - so he figures, until he has a rough idea of what's going on, he'll try to remember what happened before he was kidnapped.

He glances up, upon realizing that someone else's joined him.] Hey. [Tucking his notebook away!] This whole thing's been kinda crazy, huh?

[Vima looks over at the man, lowering her hands from her hips.]

Yeah, no kidding. [She shakes her head.] I don't even remember anything weird happening. One second I'm at home, the next, who knows where. You didn't get any warning about this, did you?

Nope. [He rises to his feet, involuntarily glancing out at the window before he glances back at her. She's so young, too - probably a little younger than his sister, but still way too young to be part of this grand reality show.]

I was pretty much the same - weird stuff's a part of my life, but nothing this weird. [Pause] I don't think anyone here did.

Who the heck would watch this kind of thing, anyway--just a bunch of prisoners on ships getting dragged along through space? What are we supposed to do, fight battles or have races or something?

[She's spent enough time getting dragged around a real war to want to fight in some fake one, thanks.]

A lot of people, I'm guessing. [He sighs] You've heard of reality TV, right? I'm more used to people being stuck on an island - but the basic idea's the same. It's weirdly popular to watch people's "real lives."

[Not that he watched much of it back on Earth. He was pretty busy with supernatural chaos that - whoops - turned into a full-out alien invasion. (No one really predicted that.)]

I haven't heard anyone mention being Jedi before, though it's possible that I've missed somebody who is. Is there a way to identify them?

[She's not sure if they're a race or something else, but hopefully that will become clearer.]

[She grins, in spite of things.]

Well, it depends. Anyone going around speaking in cryptic maxims could be one of us. But no, we're all sorts--anyone who carries a lightsaber without starting an interstellar war is probably a Jedi, though. [uh, wait.] Do you know what a lightsaber looks like?

No, I've never heard of one. What is it?

[And are there are any people carrying lightsabers who do start interstellar wars? But one step at a time, here.]

Ugh... I really wish they hadn't taken it. It's about so long--[she holds her hands apart to demonstrate]--when it's not activated. When you switch it on, the blade is this long. [widens hands! about a meter apart.] For a Jedi, it's usually blue, green, yellow... not red, though. You should keep away from people with red lightsabers.

Then they're...colored swords?

[With retractable blades, as far as she can gather from that. Interesting.]

Yeah, unfortunately they take away all our good weapons when you get here. If you're lucky, you might be able to find something to replace it with sooner rather than later.

I don't want to replace it, I just want it. [THIS IS A HUGE DEAL] They just don't give you your stuff back, at all?

I wouldn't have called it lucky to be able to replace it if we could just get it back.

Great. What kind of weapons do you usually get around here?

I've been able to find some decent throwing knives to replace the ones I had before. I think a few people have gotten a hold of some swords and stuff like that. Uh ... There's some guns in the armory?

Hello, Vima. I'm Dr. Crusher. Unfortunately, I haven't heard of any ... Jedi around here. Sometimes people do show up from the same universe though, so who knows? I haven't met everyone in the fleet yet.

...Wait a second. You mean I'm not even in the same galaxy I was yesterday?

I'm afraid not... or well, I suppose there is a small chance it's the same galaxy, different universe, but I wouldn't count on that. Either way, going home is not going to be easy.

Geez... [She's rather stunned by this information. She can't even parse same-galaxy-different-universe, that must be backwards, right? STAR WARS NEVER DID ANYTHING WITH TIME TRAVEL.] I knew it wasn't gonna be easy, but that means no one from home is going to have any idea where to start looking.

[Shoot. How far does the Force go? She can still feel it, of course, but there's going to be endless light years of intergalactic space... any trail a Jedi could follow would be impossible to follow that long.]

But we got here almost instantly. Right? It's not like, I don't know... we got put in stasis and shipped off over a million years, right?

As far as I can tell, Atroma - the being who brought us here - has some sort of control over time and space, so yes, for us, the trip was instantaneous. And I've been told by people who have friends from their own universes here as well that no one at home even realizes that we're gone.

I don't know if that's really a comfort or not.
