Okay, guys. Hear me out. This is going to sound like a weird suggestion, but... has anyone thought we've been almost too gloomy lately? Our mourning is all well and good. A lot of shit happened. But if you ask me, we're missing a pretty key component to the whole cycle. Where's the party? The wake. The remembrance that we're alive and we have our own lives to continue now enriched by the lives we touched while they were here.

You know. That kind of sappy stuff.

[ There's a pause, a quiet "um". ]

If anyone else agrees, I was thinking of setting something up in say—a week or so? Would anyone else be up for that?

[ No this clearly has nothing to do with the fact that her birthday is on the 11th. Mere coincidence! ]

True, at least we can move around, find other worlds. We got more freedom here than in the other place.

More, but not enough. Our ships can't go out of a certain boundary, did you know that?

I know, but it's a bigger boundary than I had in Paradisa. Besides, nothing has stopped us moving as we like on the planets we land on, right?

Well, yeah, when you compare the actual size of space travel it's definitely more than you'd have at a castle. And, eh. I don't think so. That's a good point, too.

Oh no, the castle was just one part. There was a whole wide world around the castle everypony could travel too. Except me. That was my loss. I couldn't travel.

...Not alone, anyway.

[ Sounds like he's talking about a missed opportunity, but most people don't usually put it that way about themselves. ]

That's one of the things that happened to you while you lived there. The castle took something important from you. Maybe it was your ability to sing, or a memory of somepony special to you, or a really important item you never, ever would be without. It was called a "loss". Kinda a price for being kidnapped there.

Mine was the ability to travel alone.

That's, uh, pretty intense. Also one more huge point of this place over that one.

[ Unless they were having something more subtle taken away from them, but for now it just seems like "freedom" and "privacy" rather than abilities, memories or anything like that. ]

Seriously. I'll take travelling through space forever over spending one more day in that place. At least here the whole game doesn't change once a month and you're sitting there thinking to yourself "gosh, I'm sure everypony weren't seeing spirals everywhere and going crazy yesterday" or "oh look that mysterious board game just spat out a giant killer plant, better not let it eat me."
