so i tried something really ridiculous today i cant believe it actually worked!
back in asgard i got the power to grow and control plants?? which was really neat and nothing at all like my powers at home
but its something that i kept when i showed up here!

there were some really funny and annoying little flowers back there too that used to talk and sing and insult people all the time
so i tried to grow some here and it actually worked
look at these little guys!!! theyre so cute

[ and attached will be a short video of a half dozen flowers like these, all apparently napping. they're snoring, too, in a ridiculous and loudly exaggerated way. ]

just for my own sanity i probably wont grow very many, but i just wanted to let you guys know that if any flowers are mean to you then its probably my fault, im sorry! :p

[ and then, about five minutes later, the following message is tacked on: ]

omfg they all died in like four minutes ._.
i am a plant murderer .______.
i never should have tried to play plant god in space .__________.;;;;

I don't need seeds. I do need dirt, though. A lot of dirt, actually, if I wanna grow something bigger than just a couple of weedy flowers.

It's nice to meet you, Belthazar. My - I had a really important friend - my roommate used to do a lot with potions and plants. I kept out of it mostly, but I can try to grow you some of the stuff that I used to grow for him, if you think that'd be useful even a little.

[It's her offer that causes him to brighten again, if only for a moment. Ears straight up, eyes wide.]

You... you would? I have not had a decent selection of herbs in months. Trying to find something living and usable on the island was impossible, and then this place is about as alive as a parched desert rock--

[He pauses.]

I don't have any way of paying you.

[ she fixes him with a funny, if slightly amused look. ]

Paying me for what? I would seriously love an excuse to use my powers for something again. They've felt pretty useless across the board since I got here.

I understand a little. If I do not keep myself busy, I feel like I am languishing, and there is so very little to do here.

It's not so bad. I was stuck on a spaceship for a couple years with -- I dunno. At least we get detours here. Pit stops, y'know?
