I looked, couldn't find a weapon shop anywhere, and didn't want to stall any longer in case the spores started to spread while I was busy with that.

[ Well that's fair enough. Speaking of, she'll be checking the next couple of plants over while she talks for any more fungus ]

It might not be in a weapon shop. Someone might make stuff like walking sticks and canes for people to hike up the volcanoes, you know? Wouldn't that work alright?

[She considers for a moment.]

I'd have to see it to be sure, but... It would be better than nothing, but still not as good as a staff designed for combat.

Yeah, yeah ...

[ The bloom she finds is rather small, so she'll put it in the bag instead of having Nightingale fire pillar it. That can be saved for the really big ones ... ]

Oh, or you could ask them to carve an actual staff. I'm sure they would know how if you gave them the right dimensions.

Maybe... Wish I had asked Waldemar what he made my last ones out of, but that's sort of a scary question to ask a dragon.

Dragons don't exist where I come from. But the ones I've met don't seem to be too keen on that type of thing.

The only dragons I've ever heard about just sort of... fly around, try to eat people and hoard treasure.

Well, I mean... They're dragons. Giant monsters. What else would they do?

Well, from the sounds of it ... other stuff? Magic, and all that ... there was one I remember that was kind of like a goddess of life.

And anyways, it'd be a bad idea to judge something like that based only on your own world. There's all kinds of things that are very different in other worlds -- you never know.
