[ Okay, now hold on a second. She's pausing and squinting, because not only is that gesture familiar .... so is that story. If nothing else, the story seems like something that wouldn't be so common ... ]

Okay, hold up. This is gonna be so weird if I'm right, but ... what's this guy's name?
geonomy: (☆ young but i'm not that bold)

[personal profile] geonomy 2015-07-16 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
[Clay's a bit oblivious at first, because that just makes no sense to him. The way she worded it was... After a moment, he squints slightly as well; there's a suspicion growing in him, but it can't possibly be right.]

A... pollo? Apollo Justice.
ino: (Cheerful.)

[personal profile] ino 2015-07-16 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
...

[ An incredulous laugh ]

No way. His hair sticks up kinda like this? [ She imitates his hair antenna ] Wears a red suit all the time?
geonomy: (☆ doing the wrong thing)

[personal profile] geonomy 2015-07-16 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
... Wait. Wait are you - KIDDING me?! [It's as if the force of the surprise knocked him back, even sent his visor sideways, and he just stares at her with wide eyes.] You knew Apollo?! That's - yeah, his hair's so weird, but - how? When did you - he -

[He's never heard about this. Never, and he and Apollo tell each other almost everything, so what - how?!]
ino: (Better vision.)

[personal profile] ino 2015-07-16 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
[ She's laughing, now ]

We met in a situation like this, actually. The whole multiverse type of thing? So I'm sure he went home and didn't remember any of it.
geonomy: (☆ sprinkle stardust on my pillowcase)

[personal profile] geonomy 2015-07-16 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
So - wait, it tampers with your memories, too? And - And how come I never noticed him gone, in that case? Show me some evidence!

[He's half kidding about that last part, but it helps out Apollo, so maybe it'll help him get his head sorted out too?!]
ino: (Bored/talking.)

[personal profile] ino 2015-07-16 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
Because nobody ever notices when someone leaves for this type of stuff. Ask anyone who's got someone else here from their world -- even if they remember different stuff, they'll tell you that they still remember the other person being there like normal.

And yeah, as far as I know, it seems to get rid of your memories of being in places like these when you go back to the world you originally came from.
geonomy: (☆ i feel something so wrong)

[personal profile] geonomy 2015-07-16 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
[And Clay just. Lets out a groan while ducking his head down, hands burying themselves in his messy hair. As an astronaut and someone who has a passion for space, Clay's been able to wrap his head around a lot of unimaginable things. But this? This is pretty out there. So - he's still there on Earth like normal, or maybe time's frozen or something? And he might not remember any of this when he goes back? It just seems so impossible...]

- m fine I'm fine I'm fine we're fine I'm fine, the sun inherits its chemical composition from the interstellar medium it was formed out of; it consists of mostly hydrogen and helium, but is also made up of oxygen, carbon, iron, neon, nitrogen, silicone, magnesium and sulfur, though those only take up less than 2% of the sun's mass; while the hydrogen and helium came from the big bang nucleosynthesis, the others were left behind by stars generations before it and -
Okay.

[Slowly, he lifts his head back up, and he looks plain astonished.]

You really knew Apollo.

ino: (Curious.)

[personal profile] ino 2015-07-16 01:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[ .... Blinks. She knows it's kind of a crazy concept, but what are you even saying over there, dude ]

... Yeah. He was actually pretty well known there. I bet Crowley or Allen would remember him, too.
geonomy: (☆ heaven and earth finally aligned)

[personal profile] geonomy 2015-07-16 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[That expression stays on his face for a second... and then a grin slowly comes across his face until he lets out a laugh that just sounds so happy.]

You knew Apollo! You got to meet him! He's - That's the best friend I was talking to you about earlier! How was he, did he do okay there? What all did he do there? Oh man, this is so - Isn't he the greatest?
ino: (Thoughtful.)

[personal profile] ino 2015-07-16 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh? Really?

[ ... Well. She briefly thinks about all the times she had to save his ass from getting injured and/or murdered, but ... that's not what Clay wants to hear about. ]

He was fine, I mean -- it was a lot to get used to, but he did alright. Though, there was this rumor going around about him for awhile ...
geonomy: (☆ like a moonbeam across my face)

[personal profile] geonomy 2015-07-17 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
[It's okay, who do you think was the one who saved his ass from bullies in middle/high school?]

Oh really? What kind of rumor? [That he's a demon because of the horns on his head? Because that was hilarious. But if it's something damaging, then there might be hell to pay on this place that Apollo doesn't remember nor does Clay know how to get to and is also closed.]
ino: (Giggle.)

[personal profile] ino 2015-07-17 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Well ... [ She laughs a little ] You know, his name is just so flashy ... people started wondering if maybe he, you know, worked as a -- [ She giggles ] -- As a stripper. To pay for law school.

[Oh god, Ino, you've killed him. How dare you.

Or, rather, Clay just falls flat to his back, laughing his ass off with his arms around his stomach. That is just - Oh man - ]

A stripper?! [HOWLING]
ino: (Mischievous.)

[personal profile] ino 2015-07-18 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
[ She's still giggling ]

Yeah, like, no way, right? He was so offended. But that was how everyone knew him for awhile.
geonomy: (☆ swing my heart across the line)

[personal profile] geonomy 2015-07-18 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
Are you serious? [His voice is pretty high-pitched now from the fact that he's still got laughter he's having a hard time holding back just to talk.] How - How did they - A stripper?!
ino: (Better vision.)

[personal profile] ino 2015-07-18 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know! I think it was Crowley, or maybe that one crazy girl who was really into him that started it. Either way, it was super embarrassing for him.
geonomy: (☆ but baby i've been praying hard)

[personal profile] geonomy 2015-07-18 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[His best friend is cute, he knows that much. But he's really not stripper material, and oh god. The images just make Clay unable to control himself.]

I can just see the look on his face every time it came up! [Hold the phone though - ] Wait, wait wait, he had a crazy girl who was into him? [That almost makes him lose it again; neither of them are really the dating type, nose too buried in their studies and working field to think about that kind of thing. So just hearing that is hilarious.]
ino: (Sup buddy.)

[personal profile] ino 2015-07-18 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, yeah. Like, psychopath with a bat full of nails level psycho. It was terrible, Apollo was so afraid of her. I mean, for good reason, but -- yeah.
geonomy: (☆ i think you and the moon and)

[personal profile] geonomy 2015-07-26 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, really? I mean - [He rubs at his face; he's still laughing about the stripper thing, and this is a more serious topic here. So he waits until his chuckling's died down a bit, then gives her his attention while letting out a long breath. And GOD that cleavage is RIGHT THERE, UGH CURSE HIS EYES.]

Did that turn out okay? Did she stop after a while? [NOBODY MESSES WITH HIS BFF. ESPECIALLY NOT PSYCHOPATHIC PEOPLE.]
ino: (Better vision.)

[personal profile] ino 2015-07-29 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, she let it go after awhile.

[ You know, after Ino yelled at her and threatened her with a knife, nbd.

Anyways, she just gives Clay a smile. How funny that they both knew Apollo ... ]

Small universe, huh ...

[He can't help letting out a small sigh of relief at that, his posture relaxing more. He doesn't like hearing about Apollo being in trouble, especially when there's nothing he can do about it.

And with that comment, Clay looks over at her again, a softer, more reminiscent smile on his face.]

Yeah... small universe. I never thought I'd hear about someone who actually knew Apollo out here.

[And, in a way, it both relieves and worsens that ache that he's already identified as how much he misses his best friend.]
