Duke's spells are normally much more straightforward. Duke is just playing with magic. He has a reason to use it, he might as well use the reason to test things! ]

[ They never tested whether Duke could take apart Vanyel's magic, and that wouldn't have mattered because Duke doesn't have Dein Nomos at the moment anyway. Well, technically he knows the Rizomata formula and could try. Another thing to think of.

He sighs a little, because this wasn't an amusement, it was teaching! But that is a valid point.

Duke's spell forms as a sphere about that half of the rock and the open space about it, a nice fiery red that shrinks down to nothing as Duke closes the hand he'd cast with. ]
