Good evening. I seek any in this fleet capable of smithing. It has been too long since I have held a sword, and I like not the feel of the so-called 'weapons' the Atroma have provided us. If any are capable of crafting a blade for me, or the tools and materials with which I may forge my own, I would be grateful. I lack the means to pay with coin, but I may offer payment in the form of labor or trade.

We don't have people like that where I'm from. Not officially.

Nor did we, until me. To my knowledge, I am the first free Paladin.

However, any Paladin would defend those in need.

What's a paladin, anyway?

One who bends their knee to a higher cause, offering their sword and shield with no promise nor need for reward. Normally, they are the elite guard of the Sultana, but as a free Paladin, I owe her no allegiance beyond our friendship.

Why are you free if you're her friend?

... It is a long and sad tale, involving centuries of treachery.

To skip that part... I am no citizen of Ul'dah. And my organization owes allegiance to no country, as we are to go wherever a Primal threat arises to defeat it. We will tarry not with a single city-state's self-serving interests.
