Who: Nami
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Marsiva
When: Nnnow-ish
[This is not happening. Nope. There were happy endings, and sunshine, and portals home, and she damn well walked through one. Not only does this quiet, sterile place bear no resemblance to, y'know, a brigantine sloop or a crazy ocean, but she's turned up here alone.
She was pretty sure the animus were on the level with the whole going home thing. The fact the Adstringendum communicator is giving her nothing but static when she tries to use it is, uh. Not comforting, to say the least. She explores the accessible area in due haste, looking for anyone she recognises. Or anyone at all. And then she sits cross-legged in the middle of the one hallway and tries to get the communicator working by prying at it with fingernails, hitting random buttons, and eventually just hitting the wall with it a few times before tossing it away from her with a huff.
Not happy doesn't really cover it.
She finds the broadcast system, staring down at the controls suspiciously. She shouldn't know how to use this. But, well. In the absence of being able to do anything else-- ]
----
This turning up in mysterious new places thing was old the first time it happened. Where the hell is this, and what hoops do I have to jump through to get home? [Sweet, sweet sarcasm. But at least she's holding onto her temper.] And where's my staff?
And-- and who fixed my shirt?
[Serious question, that one.]

You're in outer space!
And your shirt must have been fixed by... I don't know. Magic space elves?
[Also, it might be good Steven is the first person to chime in, because that gives Nami pause. You're a kid. Pretty clearly. So she isn't talking to some evil kind of space kidnapper or whatever, okay fine.
...bad feeling.]
Actual space, huh...? [She ducks a nervous glance toward the windows she'd kind of tried not to look out of. She's twitchy enough as it is. But she sounds a lot warmer when addressing Steven, anyway.]
Well, I don't want to be here. I've got other things to do. Do you know how I can get home?
That's right! But, um... [He frowns.] I'm sorry. I don't know a way home, or I'd be trying to go home too. Being in space is cool and all, but I have to work on some important stuff.
But it looks like we're all stuck in these spaceships...

You're on the Marsiva, right now. Is this not your first interdimensional shithole, then?
...no. I just came from one. I was meant to be going home.
[But come on, how many times can this happen? Maybe she's actually still in Adstringendum after all. ...really high above it. Yeah. What the hell.]
I'm guessing you're not responsible for me being here.
My name's Nightingale, and this is my second one, too. I wasn't even meant to be going home yet, but... Anyway, if you give it a minute, your implant should put the knowledge right in your head.

Atroma. They're the people who brought us all here and run this little show.

--wait, what?]
Uh, no. No wings. Not in that place, anyway.

This is outer space. Welcome. We are all trapped here.

Thanks. Ah-- I'm getting a few explanations. Maybe you can answer me another question. Have there been other new arrivals today?

I think it's like, part of our "welcome to reality TV" present. Your clothes get all patched up, you get to eat food on the giant ship, you get a new fancy communicator-thing... but they never explain it properly.
no subject
That's a pretty impressive patch job. This shirt was kind of a filthy rag before I got here.
[Bonus more-or-less new shirt then, all right.]
Let me guess. They always leave it up to you guys.

He actually starts up a response because the woman's appearance makes him slam the button before he can stop himself; that long, reddish hair, her eyes, the fierce expression- at first glance he'd thought Asuna was here.
He's not that lucky, and now he has to cover for his mistake.]
Ah... I hope you can find your weapon. I haven't managed to get one yet.

[She smiles faintly.] Thanks. You'd think if we never saw the bad guys, they wouldn't need to take our stuff.

Great.
It's what Nami said that caught his attention, though (the first time it happened), and so Zuko sort of wanders about the Marsiva until he finds her.
And, with literally
no segway -- ]
This has happened to you before?
[He'd explain all the other stuff but lmao Zuko is clueless af sorry.]
awww yeah
She looks up sharply at sudden questions, because she honestly wasn't expecting company. So after blinking for a moment in surprise, she gives a small and weary shrug.]
Yeah. Once. Ah-- just recently. [Muttering, because she's still not over this:] I thought I was going home.
[This place sucks, Zuko. I mean-- hi.]

You don't have to do anything in particular? Work with the powers that be? Get good ratings?
