[Luckily for Octavia's dignity, somehow her initial waking up freakout wasn't broadcast, so the first televised signs of her include the brunette leaning against the wall, curiously looking over her communicator. She jumps a little when it starts recording, but composure isn't too far off.

A raised brow greets the fleet, followed by a hesitant attempt at a smile. It's a bad one.]

So, space. [It's said in a very dry, unimpressed tone.] Anyone mind telling me what the hell's going on? I've got things to do, and this wasn't one of them... Whatever this is.

[She straightens, moving back to her initial bunk.]

And someone tell me what dick took my sword. I want it back.

Perhaps someone gained more than one sword while they were on Mor. Otherwise, you will have to satisfy yourself with the guns the Fleet provides if you have a security offer on you ship.

[She waits. Octavia knows how to be patient, and now isn't a time to tick anyone off just yet. Fenris gets a nod when he speaks again.]

It's worth something. Brand new freaky place, and people are willing to hold a conversation about things. It helps, trust me. [He gets a lopsided grin.] Octavia, if it matters at all.

If you wish for a decent meal, you would be best getting it on the planet. The food we have on our ships is cuboid and no matter how the chefs will try to dress it up, is still a tasteless square.

Then it's a step up from the last time I lived in space. The stuff was made for nutrition, not taste. Or enjoyment probably.

[The amusement never leaves her face, but it does wane when she mentions her previous time in a ship.]

No, I did not. But before I came here, I was kidnapped to another place. Exsilium, it was called. Myself and many others were drafted from different worlds to fight in a war.

At one point there was... an incident [the country got nuked] and we had to live on a moon base for a while.

It was. We were eventually set free, when the war was won. Unfortunately, I ended up here, instead of the trip home I was promise.

It could be either. The Initiative were grateful, but perhaps some of us ended up being the payment in part for their victory. It is hard to tell.
