[Luckily for Octavia's dignity, somehow her initial waking up freakout wasn't broadcast, so the first televised signs of her include the brunette leaning against the wall, curiously looking over her communicator. She jumps a little when it starts recording, but composure isn't too far off.

A raised brow greets the fleet, followed by a hesitant attempt at a smile. It's a bad one.]

So, space. [It's said in a very dry, unimpressed tone.] Anyone mind telling me what the hell's going on? I've got things to do, and this wasn't one of them... Whatever this is.

[She straightens, moving back to her initial bunk.]

And someone tell me what dick took my sword. I want it back.

Sorry I'm not able to perform on demand. [She gives him a mock bow of her head.] Give me time.

[Peering in closer, she's interested, not repulsed or wary at all. Her own hand is put out so both are visible. Octavia looks at hers then his, eventually separating her fingers to match his. Live long and prosper.]

Man, this feels weird. But you were born with it, right? Since it's a mutation and all... [Her brows furrow as she reaches for the edge of the blanket on the bunk.] How does this even work?

[digthefuzz]

[He just waves a hand jokingly at her excuse.] Stage fright, huh? Alright, I'll be patient with you.

[Kurt chuckles, and he watches as she peers at him curiously. It definitely doesn't feel the type of looks he's tired of, and he smirks as she tries to mimic it.]

It just... does. I was born with it, and I grew up with it. It's just natural for me, I guess. I don't know how to explain it.

[grounds]

Makes sense. I guess I can't expect you to really spell it out. [With a soft huff, she gives up, flexing her hand when her fingers are back how they belong.]

But the feet are useful in their own way compared to non mutants. Can you pick things up with them?

[digthefuzz]

It's not like I'm a monkey! [He says that in a humble, joking way, not as if he's accusing her of thinking that of him.]

I mean... I can pick up some things and get a good grip with them. [He stretches a little and wiggles his odd toes.]

[grounds]

Hey, if the weird shoes fit! [She grins over at him, all but waggling her eyebrows in jest.]

And the tail?

[digthefuzz]

Oh, the tail? Now that really comes in handy! [He then leaps up and stretches his tail out so that it wraps around a light fixture on the ceiling. You are now dealing with one grinning, upside-down fuzzy man.]

[grounds]

[Her eyes actually widen again.] Whoa.

[All the while looking in awe, she reaches back and grabs a pillow from the bunk, immediately hurling it at him. Who knows if she'll actually hit him. Stupid teleportation.]

[digthefuzz]

[Kurt laughs as he sees the incoming pillow. He quickly tries to slap it right out of the air. Clearly this is what all of his X-Men training was for.]

What do you think? Pretty neat, huh? Me, I'm just hanging around!

[grounds]

[Kurt, please. Octavia rolls her eyes and flops back on to the bunk, hint of a grin still there.]

I think your humor'll have to grow on me.

[digthefuzz]

Ah, like a fungus!

[He laughs as he sways himself a little, like a pendulum.]

[grounds]

Mold. Mold can be blue. Plus, it's fuzzy. Is that really what you want out of life?

[She turns her head over so she can watch.]

[digthefuzz]

Well, you can never tell. Maybe I'll break the mold!

[grounds]

[Have another projectile pillow, Kurt!]

[digthefuzz]

[This one catches him in the face, mid-laughter.]

Rude! [He then lets his tail release its hold and flops right back down onto the bed, but still laughing all the way.]

You earned it! [Octavia's quiet for a moment, before shoving him with her booted foot.]

Hey, thanks. For a bit there, I almost forgot we're stuck on some weird ass space tv show.

[digthefuzz]

Oof! [He seems to have earned a lot. But he smiles regardless.]

Heh, I could say the same to you.

...Wait, what about a tv show?!

[grounds]

[She gives an audible UGH at his question.]

Apparently we're on an intergalactic reality show? [Her hand holds up the comm, and she wiggles it for emphasis.] Read that on here.

[digthefuzz]

[Wowww he practically just woke up and then talked to you, give him a break!!

He looks it over and takes it all in.]

Duuuuuude.

[grounds]

[She just wanted to forget! It's super lame and tacky, okay.

Cue the eyeroll.]

It's not that impressive. [Yes it is.]

[digthefuzz]

Speak for yourself! I've never been on tv before... I mean, not this kind of tv!

[The he adds, a lot more lightly,]

I hope they're catching my good side!

[grounds]

We don't have TV where I'm from, so I guess the charm's lost here.

[Octavia snorts at him.] Which one is that, anyway?

[digthefuzz]

No TV? That's something we have to find a way to fix!

Um... And it would be this one! [He shifts his face to the side and gives a goofy smile.]

[grounds]

Trust me, I'm fine without it. [A sly grin crosses her features and she leans over to get a good look.]

Hm, I think we're missing something. [And like that, she grabs a blanket and tosses it over his head.] Now we're talking!

[digthefuzz]

[He just chuckles from beneath the blanket.]

Ah, now I'm ready to meet my adoring fans...!

[grounds]

Give them my sympathies.

[There's a mock salute at his plight.]
