Good afternoon, everyone! If I may have your attention please. Do you have a musical talent that you have been YEARNING to stretch for months? Or maybe you are itching to learn how to play or sing and express yourself through the undeniable power of song!

[ she emphasizes this with a dramatic flourish of her arms. ] So! I was wondering if anyone out there in the fleet would be interested in joining a musical group with me and Steven! You don't have to have an instrument. You don't even need to know how to play! You just need a desire to create a song from the heart. We could even use spare parts from our ships to make new instruments! Doesn't that sound fun?

[ it sounds fun. you know it does. ]

Aside from that...I've also been wondering about starting a garden. I know it probably sounds silly, because - space! But I've always wanted to start one, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to see if anyone had any ideas.

Hello! We haven't met yet, but I'm Dr. Crusher, on the Blue Fish. Ino and I were actually planning to start a community garden on the Iskaulit, if you wanted to take part! Not that you can't start your own garden, of course, the more plants the better, I'd say. Either way, I would be happy to help you get started.

Are you guys gonna actually perform. Or is this like a learning exercise.

I want to try! I love singing. [Alarm bells should be going off just about now.] I know all the different cadences from the Proles Army. Um. And a bunch of drinking songs!

Oh, and if you like plants... you should talk to Vision. He grows seaweed.

I can play the guitar! ... Well, I mean, I had one back home. And I played a little bit, just kinda taught myself. I was gonna try to get better at it, but I seriously didn't have any time. You know? Heh, guess I've got plenty of time now, huh?

[ He cracks a half-hearted grin. ]

I seriously doubt I could make a guitar, though. Think there's one somewhere in the fleet? Or, uh, on some planet out here?

I can play the guitar. I prefer electric, though.

Looks like you're having trouble with the supply. If your band wants guitars, though, they might be in luck. [ He never forgets a schematic. ] But...it's not going to be easy. [ Or cheap. ]

W-wait, wait, a garden?! [Oh boy, oh boy, you've got her attention.] What kind of plants would you grow in it?

[this is...significantly less dramatic than she had imagined, what with the interdimensional space kidnappings and all. If people here are bored enough to start their own band, then perhaps she ought to revise her expectations of what will happen here.]

If you need instruments, I've found a few basic ones in my room. [nobody gets to touch the violin except for her, but she'd be happy to loan out the other things.

Apparently, somebody decided that the fleet needed a music/art therapist.]

Well, I don't really know anything about playing music, but maybe I could help with instruments? I'm an engineer here, so with enough materials I could probably help build a few!

Although, I've never actually built an instrument before... (;＾▽＾) Still, I wouldn't mind learning! I could work with instructions or maybe schematics, if you have any?

[he'd heard the broadcast but hadn't answered-- just quietly imagining what a fleet with actual music might be like. it isn't until later that he decides to track her down and ask about it, and by then, she's buzzing around the kitchen.
