[ Hopefully nobody's too fond of going out in the shuttles on this ship. One of them has been missing for hours at a time ever since the beginning of the week.

If you wait around long enough for it to return, however, you'll find a tall young "man" ducking out of the shuttle and heading down the corridor. Lost in thought as they are, this person isn't watching in front of them.....

Alternatively, should anyone in the Fleet also enjoy joyriding, that shuttle has been flying around and trying experimental maneuvers. Whoever's at the controls seems pretty good at coaxing speed out of something that isn't currently built for that, but they also don't seem to have a goal in mind. They're even drifting in what, to someone aboard a ship, might look like an upside-down position. ]

This is Haruka. I've investigated the shuttles.

[ Depending on how you feel about her miles of leg, however, this is not necessarily a drawback. But here's the confirmation she'd called to give: ] I can fly them.

[Cheese spends a great deal of his time on planet, so he doesn't overly miss the shuttles. Still, he notices Haruka as he's wandering off towards the kitchen, and flashes a big grin. ]

Hey there! You're our new crewmate, right?

[ And this is what Haruka gets for starting to sass back before turning to look at people. Her conversational partner turns out to be in fact, a tiny horse.

....There is not much she can say to that. ] You're far from home.

[The tiny horse doesn't seem to mind. In fact, her gives something of a rueful chuckle. ]

Aren't we all? Pretty sure that's the point.

...True enough.

[ Haruka turns to fully face her new, uh, crewmate. Wow, she feels absurd. ] Tenoh Haruka, by the way.

[ And Ino's headed to the shuttle to take one back to her own ship, accidentally bumping into Haruka as she steps into the docking bay ]

--Oh! Sorry.

[actsmagnificent]

[ Whoops, it's busy here. Haruka reaches out to steady Ino's arm, smiling at her. It's a very special, exclusive smile that fills the air with sparkles. ] The fault's all mine.

Though I don't know how I missed seeing someone cute as you.

[ ... Right. He said something. She shakes it off after a moment ]

[ This chuckle does not help the whole "filling the air with shoujo effects" issue. And she'll get to answering that question....eventually. ] What's your name?

[Oh, fuck.

One thing that didn't come across well on video is the size difference between them, so the tiny 5'1 Nightingale is just going to be staring up at Haruka.]

[ ....Okay, that's adorable.

Haruka will keep her thoughts to herself but smile all the same. The smile is also more potent in person. ] And in good hands, apparently.

[ tadashi will just... abruptly introduce himself as he rounds a corner and nearly runs into the tall young woman. he's got a rag at his hands, wiping some grease from his fingers. ]

You're the engineer?

[ She heard there was one. Sherlock Tenoh, at your service. Here to make snap deductions and look good in plaid.

Or at least she would if these stupid show-provided outfits were plaid. ]

Close. [ it's said amicably, and tadashi inspects his hand to make sure it's thoroughly cleaned before stretching it out, offering a shake. ] I'm his big brother. I mostly man the lab. [ thanks, augment... ] What about you?

Haruka. [ Who will do a handshake, sure. If you don't mind firm handshakes. ] Extraneous pilot.

[Haruka may get the feeling she's being followed. Not very stealthily, that is-- his robes make a bit of noise, though his boots are rather soft, all things considered.

He peers at her from around a pile of boxes, and he might be completely hidden if not for the creepy glowing eyes and the pointy ears.]

[ Haruka continues wandering about the ship as if completely unaware of her stalker companion. Once he appears nice and settled behind those boxes, though, she stops. ] It's not that big a ship, y'know.

Eep!

[He ducks down and covers his mouth. Did he just say eep? That was entirely undignified. It takes a minute, but he slips out from behind his hiding place. His expression is a little nervous, but trying to be brave.

He's a little over five feet, so it's absolutely fine to mistake him for younger than he is. Elf problems.]

I wanted to make sure you weren't dangerous.

Skulking around is a heck of a way to do that.

[ She's pushing six feet and has a tendency to lord said height. Whoops. ] Are you crew?
