At least there's no elevator music...

[At least two weeks have passed since the Drift Fleet passengers woke up on this strange wing of the Marsiva... Some new passengers have even joined the group instead of being Shuffled off to a fleet ship! The large monitor in the central room remains quiet for now, so how is everyone holding up?

Have you been relaxing? Enjoying the Earth media? If you can even remember them, how have Calibrations been treating you? Has anyone started getting a little stir-crazy?

Don't worry... This ship has no shortage of mysteries, and you'll be seeing a few more soon.]

[Nightingale has settled into a daily routine rather quickly. A routine that starts with blasting the nameplate on her door with gratuitous amounts of fire, so that might wake up anyone unfortunate enough to be in a nearby room who wanted to sleep in.

After that, she heads for the kitchen, cooks up a ridiculous amount of food for everyone, sneaking in experiments with the protein mush her and there where she hopes it will go unnoticed. It's there, might as well learn how to use it.

Once she's spent a few hours doing that, she alternates- on some days, she heads for the gym, where she takes a large punching bag and proceeds to destroy it with her normal fire spells, but now she's started to mix in ice and lightning as well- It's a pretty big spectacle, and by the time she's done, the punching bag is reduced to dust.

On other days, she heads towards the central space, grabs an empty cushion and a huge stack of the books. Usually, it's things like textbooks or educational materials, but if you pay close attention, you might find her sneaking a trashy lesbian vampire romance novel into that pile...]

Oh? [here's a curious voice over your shoulder. Her tone is light, and edging into teasing territory.]

[INTERNAL SCREAMING

Nightingale immediately jumps in surprise and spins around, and the entire stack of books just vanish into thin air.]

- Fuck-! Don't sneak up on me like that!

That is quite a handy talent you have there.

[wow she didn't even apologize]

It's not a talent, it's something everyone in my world can do, how long have you been there.

[She's bristling like a startled cat. Considering she is tiny and a twig, it is rather less intimidating than she would like.]

[She's beet-red, so it's pretty obvious she was up to something, anyway. Not that Michiru hadn't already seen it, but...]

Well, I was trying to find something to read. Do you have any recommendations?

They're all Earth books, how should I know? I"ve never read any of them.

Truly? You look like you're quite a voracious reader with rather broad tastes.

If I'm trapped here, I might as well learn the dominant culture, right? Even if it's annoying. So, I'm going for the textbooks.

[and she's reaching up to the bookshelf, neatly picking out the next one in the series. This one has a cover of one lady vampire possessively holding onto another half naked vampire chick.]

She's immediately trying to snatch that out of Michiru's hands, but, uh. It's not hard to keep it away. Girl has the physical stats of a particularly unathletic paper bag.]

I met Bluebird at the interdimensional shithole I was at before here. She was my teammate. Basically our team leader, but she'd deny it as hard as she could. She was really strong in a lot of ways.

Ah. That sounds like a difficult situation to be in. [crushing on a teammate and all.]

It sounds like there were a few good things about the other place you were at. [but wasn't it a free-for-all orgy sort of place?]
