So who's the new captain?

[He sighs and says it in a simple, offhand tone] I dunno. Maybe it was something about me. We butted heads a few times.

[Which he assumes shouldn't come to that much of a surprise to Lloyd. He's hard to get along with. News at ten.]

Flora. You know, that one girl we spoke to before?

[ he's not happy about Kaneis's theory, but he doesn't want to assume that much about Cecil yet. he'll contact her at some point and get her side of the story later on.

but for now, any sour feelings he feels over Cecil are ignored when he hears the name of their new captain. he brightens up almost instantly. ]

Flora? She's the new captain, really? [ if he sounds excited, that's probably because he is. he knows Flora! she's nice, he likes her! ]

[ not that he hasn't been in the cabin, but he hasn't seen her on his way to the dining area either, so clearly that's the best assumption.

especially since Kaneis's station is on the other side of the ship. ] I wonder if they brought in some more of that custard for her.

....Seriously? You, Lloyd Irving, guy who can't seem to go anywhere without really weird stuff happening, is questioning the realistic plausibility of fairies existing?

Apparently not. Or she could just be really big for a fairy.

Or maybe the fairies where she's from are just different, like how there's different magic.

[ he remembers his talk with Krista, when they talked about the differences between their magic in their respective worlds. maybe it's the same for Flora?

he pauses in the hallway for a moment, listening for any movement that's not his or Kaneis's. so far so good... ]

[He groans] Don't remind me. It's such a pain having to explain to every other person how my magic works.

I have no problem with it. [ that's only because you only had to explain it to like one or two people, Lloyd. ] It's pretty interesting to hear how magic works in their world too.
