I am leading a hunting party. One companion is ideal; I will take no more than three. Bring your own weapons and dress for the cold. We depart at sunrise, from the lodge at the foot of the mountains, and there will be trips every other day beginning tomorrow.

[ Come across Nyssa in the early morning pacing before leaving, during the day already hunting, or at night, having made camp. She has a spear and a full quiver of arrows with her. ]

[ Well, nothing gets Winter's attention quite like hearing the word 'hunting'. He talked very briefly with Nyssa when she first arrived, but nothing past that. If she's leading any kind of party, then she has some sort of background in it.

If not, it will be easy enough to go off on his own. Regardless, he meets her at dawn as instructed, dressed in his combat attire and a dark green scarf wound around his neck. He gives her a nod. ]

Are there more coming?

[ Honestly, he hopes not. ]

[ He's much more intimidating in person, if Nyssa was the type to be intimidated by size. She eyes the metal arm, then looks past him. ]

If there are, they are late, and I have little need for those who are not punctual. Come.

[ She slings the quiver securely over her shoulder and starts walking, expecting that he'll fall in line. ]

[ She has an extra spear for Octavia, and a spare crossbow in case Katniss prefers the bow. Nyssa knows by now the heavy gear isn't really necessary, but the idea is to practice, and to be honest, she's curious about teamwork. This place doesn't offer much of an opportunity. The rest of the supplies have been split into two bags they can take turns carrying. ]

[ She's not humming or moving, just standing, as she waits, quiet and still. ]

[ She's not surprised to see Steve, but Nyssa's eyes drop to the rifle slung on his shoulder instantly. There's a brief look of disdain, but she never stated she'd refuse anyone on the basis of their choice of weapon. It doesn't seem to fit him, even if she knows he's a soldier, from the outside world. ]

It seems there are no others coming. We should leave.

[He has the rifle slung and stowed. Honestly, he'd rather his shield. Any shield, at this late hour. But he's not fool enough to go anywhere undefended, either. Still, he marks that look of disdain with a faint 'what can you do' quirk to his brow.

He shifts his weight to the balls of his feet and nods.]

I'll let you set the pace.

[Sokka was planning on hunting himself, he needs to up the Blue Fish's meat supply, and he's not about to let the opportunity this planet offers go. Still, company is better than going it alone, so he'll be heading over to the designated spot, carrying a spear and his trusty boomerang on his back. ]

Hey. You the one looking for a hunting partner?

[ She gives him a quick once-over, satisfied with the confident way he carries himself. ]

Nyssa al Ghul. You are?

[ She picks one with less tourists roaming through it, preferring to examine the formations on the rock. It's quiet, less oppressive, the wind is barely felt down here. ]

[So, someone really needs to explain to Suzie that "four legs + cute ears + fluffy fur + little paws" does not automatically "= dog". Unfortunately, she's been a little too preoccupied with following this particular little rascal of a stray around for the better part of a half-hour, trying to creep up on him as stealthily as she can (which is really not all that much; she has about as much capacity for stealth as a desert has water), and trailing it as it wanders around in the hopes of maybe being able to corner and catch it...at some point.

Which is how she ends up in the salt mine at all, only half paying attention to the world around her, because she's really obviously distracted by the little pup that's wandered in (which has admirable camouflage against all the white of the surroundings), and trying to sidle closer such that she might eventually...

Uh. Reach down...and grab it...?

She really didn't think this through very well.

Regardless, it takes her a minute to figure out that she's been addressed, so when she does it comes out in a half-mumble, strongly accented toward Italian vowels from her preoccupation with the fox.]

Mm? Yeah...it's really nice.

[ The augment translates, but Nyssa hears the vowels. The first thing she thinks is Caesar, which is absurdly sentimental. She shakes herself out of it, and switches to Italian. ]

[ Okay, so the music is in the background and she is watching someone demonstrate the different kinds of materials and local metal alloys they use for the spears and arrowheads. Technicalities. ]

[Tyrion is actually singing along with the music, as he hobbles closer to see the metals they are using. He is, after all, considering buy some -- but his ears are not dead.]

[Besides, he sees a friend - is that what he is calling Nyssa? He suppose so - and stops next to her. Still singing, as he watches with keen interest.]

I see that you are multi-tasking as well.

[ She gives him a warm smile, and straightens to pay attention. ]

They have decent steel available. I have not yet acquired a sword; these creatures are better subdued with spears and nets.

I've got a sword from a friend, and it's pretty nice. I can bring that, but if we can somehow get me a spear, I could try and work with that. Don't have much experience, though.

[ the name is said with warmth. but not affection -- not yet. sansa doesn't tackle an outright mention of the woman's gift, but its affect on the young lady is heard clearly in her voice. ]
