[ Obi-Wan is no stranger to waking up to unknown locations, but this seemed odd . . . even for him. He gropes for his lightsaber . . . which is gone, obviously. He huffs, before straightening himself and brushing his hair back. Communications . . . communications . . . ah, there it is.

A video feed. Somewhat archaic, but it'll do. He doubts anyone from the Republic will be nearby, but perhaps the locals will offer some aid. Obi-Wan clears his throat before speaking. It's time for his other skill set to come in use. ]

Greetings. My name is General Kenobi. To whom do I have the pleasure of addressing? And I don't suppose there is someone willing to answer my questions? Because I have a great deal many of them.

[ Interdimensional? ]

Pretty self-explanatory. I ended up falling from my world into a different interdimensional shithole, and I was kidnapped from there to here.

[ Wording aside, Obi-Wan can't help being curious about holes in space that have allowed captors to kidnap other people. It's beyond the Sith, beyond the Jedi . . . but beyond the Force? Not likely. ]

I had no idea. I've mostly met people from my . . . galaxy, so to speak, only from different times.

Galaxy? So you do space travel at home, too?

[That's what gets her interest- She always hears this sort of thing framed as 'worlds', so it's odd to hear about a 'world' that has more than one world in it.]

Yes, we travel a lot via space ship. Being in a place like this is certainly familiar to me.

[ Obi-Wan's world would be Coruscant, but he's rarely there long enough to make a connection to it. Wherever the Jedi are, that is home. ]

Don't suppose you're familiar enough with spaceships to open up one of these things and hijack it?

I am. However, I've been informed that it will not work in my favor.

[ And if Anakin could not, Obi-Wan would hardly trump his expertise. ]

Yeah, I figured. The Atroma are dumber than a Int-downed fighter, but even they wouldn't leave that obvious a way out.

It is unfortunate but I'm afraid I will have to help in other ways. And who knows? Perhaps those skills will come in handy.

For those other ways, can you fight? As soon as the Atroma show up in person, I'm hoping to have a few people ready to kick their asses.

I am a capable fighter.

[ And he has the Force, even when he lacks his lightsaber. ]

Weapons, of course, would go a long way. Has anyone ever spoken to these mysterious captors of ours?

What do you use? I've been making a ton of money by hunting monsters on this planet, so I can probably help get you something made.

[She's talking very casually about hunting monsters, regardless of being short and having basically no muscle mass at all, obvious even through the communicator screen.]

They talk at us from time to time, but we've only gotten two-way communication twice, as far as I know. They're... irritating, to say the least. Absolutely avoidant, so if you want information, you have to approach it from an angle and make them think they're talking about something else.

My preferred weapon is not easily found. And usually needs to be made by me.

[ And the chances of that are slim. ]

I'm a mage with a ton of money, you'd be surprised at what I can get.

I hope so. I'm not good at that sort of thing. I got a fair bit out of them, though.

I tend to be fairly decent at negotiations, at least.

[ It's modest. They call him the Negotiator, for ending battles without weapons. ]

Very well. I'll need a Kaiburr crystal. The rest of the materials, I can manage.

That's good, but I think we are well past 'negotiations'.

... You equip crystals?

I'm not so sure.

In a manner of speaking. They're an integral part of the weapon I use, the lightsaber.

I can think of a couple of different things that could be a 'lightsaber'. Do you mean lightweight blade or laser sword?

Laser makes it a little more crude, but I suppose it's not inaccurate.

You're getting up close and hacking at shit with a sword. It's 'crude' no matter what it's made out of.

I don't know if they sell them on the planet, but one of the guys in the Fleet has one of those. Look for a kid with black hair. His name's Kirito.

[ He chuckles ]

Not this sword. A lightsaber is more than capable of deflecting blasts. But I imagine it's something you need to see to believe it.

Kirito. I will remember that.

If a blast is able to be deflected, then the one doing it was incompetent.

He's pretty nice, it probably won't take you long to find him.
