[ Obi-Wan is no stranger to waking up to unknown locations, but this seemed odd . . . even for him. He gropes for his lightsaber . . . which is gone, obviously. He huffs, before straightening himself and brushing his hair back. Communications . . . communications . . . ah, there it is.

A video feed. Somewhat archaic, but it'll do. He doubts anyone from the Republic will be nearby, but perhaps the locals will offer some aid. Obi-Wan clears his throat before speaking. It's time for his other skill set to come in use. ]

Greetings. My name is General Kenobi. To whom do I have the pleasure of addressing? And I don't suppose there is someone willing to answer my questions? Because I have a great deal many of them.

[Ahsoka gives a little shrug.]

[AT LEAST... SHE'S HONEST?]

In that case, maybe next time you plan for this, I should start charging you.

[Ahsoka thinks about that for a second, before deciding:]

Eh. That's fair.

[... aw, not even a little protest? Oh, well.]

I'll figure out an appropriate price next time.

[She's good-natured like that.]

Well, if holo ratings here are anything like the ones back home, I should have cash for a while. Fairly certain the recent influx of people from my world has generated enough drama to last a year.

... The bad kind of drama?

[Ahsoka smiles wryly.]

Is there a good kind?

Well, there's the funny kind.

If it was funny, would it still be "drama"?

[She doesn't seem inclined to clarify that just yet.]

Funny to me, drama to someone else.

... Ah. Now I think I understand.

I figured you would.

I'd be hard pressed not to. Schadenfreude seems to be something of a tradition in my Master-Padawan line.

I approve, but... In your what now?

Master-Padawan line. It's... hmm. [She pauses for a moment. She's not used to explaining this.]

A Padawan is what we call a Jedi apprentice. We start our schooling in the Temple from a young age, but once the Masters deem us ready, any Jedi Master can take on an Initiate to be their Padawan.

Anakin Skywalker was my Master, back home. And before that, Master Kenobi here was his. So I guess you could say he's like my Grand-Master, in a way.

... He doesn't look old enough to be a 'grand' anything, but okay. Why don't you just call them apprentices, then?

[Ahsoka shrugs and makes a small "Iunno" noise.]

That's just what they're called. I didn't make it up.

I guess not. That is weird, though.

What's so weird about it?

It's faster and easier than saying "Jedi apprentice" every time you have to introduce yourself. And if you just say "apprentice," people might not understand that you're a Jedi.

I already know you're a Jedi, though, so just "apprentice" works fine.

Well... sure, I guess, but...

I guess I'm not used to switching.

... Makes sense. People where you're from would know what it means, generally, huh?
