Who: Syeira and YOU!
Broadcast:Fleetwide
Action: Around the ships or elsewhere for soup delivery. Then the Space Bar.
When: Some time after the 6th for soup. Any evening pretty much for the Space Bar.
So I know a lot of people are getting sick, and I know that chicken soup is something a lot of people recommend back home. So I wanted to make soup, but I couldn't get any actual chicken, so I got fish. It's been tasted and called not bad.
So um. I have soup. If you're sick.
[This sounds really lame now that she's saying it out loud. Ah hell.]
Robin, I'm bringing you some. And anyone else I know who's sick. You're getting some.
[You people are taking this fish soup.]
So I'll...be around...with soup.
[Action]
[She goes to Varric's bar because he announced his first. And it is very comfortable for her tastes. She finds herself a table, and gets a pint of whatever. Then she starts drinking. For a more petite girl, she drinks very very well. And she'll be there a while. Until they ask her to go. She's really not used to bars that have closing times.]

[And there's a bright smile. Hi friend!]
I'd love the help. And the company.

[She knows it's been a long while since Cassandra's had much contact with anyone from Red Fish, even the people she actually likes.]

[The smile is weaker now, but still present.]
How about you? Is your new ship treating you well?

But really, she could use a drink. A real drink. Drinking alone, however, is no fun, so seeing Syeira, she decides it's time to make friends and walks over to Syeira's table, her own drink in hand.]
Mind if I join you?
action
Of course, please. It's always better to not drink alone.

We haven't talked in a while, so I'm glad I ran into you here.

[She's gone planet side, but there's been so much happening on her own ship she's been very distracted.]
What's going on in your world?
[She props her chin in her palm and gives Beverly all her honest, eager attention.]

She's wandering in from her own rounds of the Iskaulit when she stops by for a drink of whatever dubious beverages the guy's slinging, and a vaguely familiar redhead is what brings her the rest of the way to the bar, forgoing one of the mismatched stools to lean against it.]
You're from the Red Fish, right? I don't think I ever got your name.
[She'd stopped by, once or twice. Visiting Zhas, that one time she had to drop off a plastered Coil. She'd seen the woman in passing, but never up close. May as well ask her about Zhas.]
action
I don't think I got yours either. I'm Syeira.
no subject
Natasha. I'm friends with Zhas. And Coil.
[Is friends really the right word for someone you just occasionally beat up local thugs with...?]
You mind if I join you?
no subject
The name strikes a cord, and her expression crumbles for a moment as hurt, like grief, wells up inside of her. She doesn't let it over take her, but turns it away, outward, into empathy. This is his friend, and he's gone. Coil is still here, and he's wrecked.]
No, of course. Sit down. It's nice to meet someone else who is friends with them.

Here you go - compliments of the house. [He offers his hand.] Eugene Woods, cook in residence. Let me know if I can get you anything else.

[She's pleasantly surprised by the gift of food, and smiles up at the introduction. She actually stands, because where she comes from it's polite, and usually you're supposed to curtsy or bow.
But oh right, the hand clasp. It's a common thing with most people on the fleet, so may as well go with the flow. Be polite. She put her hand in his, firm grip. She doesn't actually shake because she's still not used to it.]
Or um, more properly, of the Red Fish these days. It's a pleasure Mr. Woods. Thank you for this. It's very kind of you.
no subject
['Candlekeep' doesn't exactly sound like from anywhere in Eugene's world, so at a basic level, the slightly off returned-hand-clasp doesn't actually seem that weird. He brings his other hand up to fold hers in a brief squeeze, then lets go - about when he realizes where he's seen her face.]
Hey, you put out that broadcast about soup earlier, didn't you?
no subject
Oh, yeah. That was me. I just wanted to be helpful. I can't heal the sick, so that was as close as I could come.
Action
He's milling around, collecting glasses when Syeira arrives. He recognises her face, though it takes him a moment to place her. His calibration. She'd been...decent towards him.
He walks over, offering a half smile. ]
Are you well?
Re: Action
I'm so sorry. I don't- We've met, yes? I'm usually better than this.
no subject
Not...quite. You visited my calibration. With the wolf.
no subject
[She shoves her hair back behind her ear, embarrassed by her own reaction. Maybe don't be so shocked, Sye.]
I'm sorry. It's just a surprise to run into you. I'd have asked after you sooner, but I don't know your name.
