Oh, hello. I think I've done this thing right.

[A youngish red head was looking around herself, the interior of the ship clear in the background. She's in some hallways somewhere.]

Well, this is a bit sad to say but, can anyone direct me to the labs? Sorry, I should introduce myself first. Lily Evans here, I guess I'm your new lab support personnel. Blimey if I know what all that entails but, I was always a fair hand at potions.

Right, well then if anyone could be so kind, pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

I don't know that I can judge myself, might be better to ask people who know me. I'd be too tempted to talk myself up.

It's a pretty small ship, I guess? I don't know that much about space.

Willing to bet you know more than me. The Americans landed a man on the moon but I still don't understand how they did it.

What are Americans?

ok, maybe not then.

Well where I am from they are another country, across the ocean from mine. They tend to pride themselves on their military prowess and guns. They sent a rocket to the moon so a man could stand on it. Waste of money if you ask me.

Rich people are really good at wasting money.

[gifted_witch]

They are, and using it to belittle others. It's why I want to do something important after school, maybe be a teacher myself or work for the ministry.

What's the ministry?

[gifted_witch]

Ministry of Magic? It creates and enforces the laws for the magical community. They make sure that people aren't taken advantage of and that species are being looked after and industry is watched for safety, all sorts of things really.

Does it work?

[ she seems dubious ]

Well, not flawlessly no. But it does a lot. Mum says it's probably for the best that muggles, those are non magical folks, don't know about magic. That's part of what they do. And they make sure that witches and wizards aren't interfering with muggles or doing them harm.

I just want to help, guess I'll figure out how when the time comes. [Yeah totally not mentioning the building turmoil or missing people or strange events that area already happening back home for her. Nope.],'small>

Well I don't think it'll take long to get the lay of the land here.

It's really pretty easy. I spend most of my time in my room and in the kitchen, I guess. Some in the common areas.

What do you do? I like to read, and listen to music, sing sometimes.

I don't really know. Talk to Stiles? I've inventoried the weapons like a hundred times.

What did you used to do, back home?

Hunt, mostly. In the woods.

I've never been, unless you count hunting toadstools.

But they really din't take much of a chase.
