oo1; accidental video/action
Who: Alistair and YOU?!
Broadcast: Fleetwide; mostly accidental.
Action: On the Marsiva!
When: Now? Now. Sure, now.
Teagan? Teagan! [ The man on the camera is young, handsome, and looking a bit put out to be where he is. This isn't his castle! What is this place? He's also sort of looking away from the screen, not fully aware he's broadcasting. He mostly thinks he's talking to himself. ]
Okay, hah hah, very funny, you've had your joke, now where are you? And where am I? I'm sure I've got a very important meeting with someone who will be very angry when I don't show up - not that I care much if I'm making the Orlesians angry, it's sort of funny when their faces get all red and they start trying not to swear, but still...
Have I been kidnapped? Has someone kidnapped me? I'm pretty sure kidnapping the king is treason. I can have your head for that. [ He doesn't sound so much angry as... vaguely confused and disoriented. ] Off with your head. Whenever I figure out who you are, I suppose.

[ Ugh, this is going to get more complicated, isn't it? Ugh. ]
Solona Amell, of course.
no subject
As far as I understand it.
[Another Amell. Though his sounds like a woman.
...
Don't you even start. Don't you get jealous. It's stupid and you know it.]
Case in point. I've heard of an Amell being that Warden as well, but the one I heard about was a man. Or at least a mage without a bosom, as it was put to me. Point is, if you hear the other Thedosians talk about events that don't line up with how you remember them, that's why.

[ Alistair frowns, confused. ]
So... this man, he stopped the Blight in your world?
no subject
[She used Varric's world as the example instead of hers to avoid any uncomfortable questions being asked.]
I think he responded to your post here. You can ask him to clarify, if you'd like.
no subject
[ He's not asking Varric about this, Riona, he's asking you! ]
no subject
Yes, it was a different person. [...she wants to leave it at that, but he'll ask, so why bother?] Actually, it was, ah, me.
no subject
...Oh.
...was I still there?
[ Part of him hopes he was, because he'd rather be a Grey Warden, fighting the Blight, than anything else. But that would also be really weird, too. ]

She nods at his question; there's no point in lying. And she's not sure what to say. She's afraid of offering too much information that could lead to a much more awkward conversation. That and she's not entirely certain how he's going to react.]
no subject
So... we were friends? I mean - the me you knew? Know? This is strange.
no subject
But she can't. She's terrified of what he'll say or how he'll take it, and she dreads answering the questions that might come with the confession. She's afraid he'll want nothing to do with her because she'll look like a creep (really, a stranger telling him that she's his wife in another world? A little unsettling) And he's just arrived here and that's not something she wants to dump on him so soon. Will she be able to hide it forever? She didn't know, but she had to try for as long as she could.]
Yes. [Not entirely a lie.] We met at Ostagar and traveled together to stop the Blight.
I'm sorry I acted like I didn't know you, but it didn't seem right to drop that right on you. 'Welcome to the fleet! You've been kidnapped by a nebulous organization from space. Oh, and by the way, I know you but you don't know me, because we're from parallel universes! Any questions?'
no subject
He hopes he didn't die in her world. ]
That's all right. I just don't want to make you uncomfortable, or anything.
no subject
[That's, uh, one way of putting it.]
Do I - this must be twice as odd for you, since I'm a stranger. If I make you uncomfortable, let me know. That's the last thing I want.

"Smile, darling. Always smile." And that's what she did.]
I see no reason why we couldn't. Of course, we'll have to find something new to bond over, now that we don't have a Blight over our heads and a colorful band of miscreants following us.
no subject
They might not be following, but I'm sure there are plenty of colorful miscreants here.

[ It's a little weird to hear her talk about the people he knows like she knows them just as well. But he'll overlook that for the moment. ]
I miss the rest of it, though.
no subject
[And endlessly entertaining for her.]
I do as well. As hard as it was at times, looking back, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
[Though she lost so much to get to that point, she gained quite a bit from it. Things she never would have had if she stayed in Highever.]
In your Thedas, did... everyone come out of it okay? After the battle in Denerim and all?
no subject
no subject
[And was it for the same reason?]
no subject
no subject
She never hid that fact. Oh well, her loss. She missed a great celebration feast.
[Of course Riona feels much more strongly and is far more conflicted about Morrigan's disappearance than that. However, she's not sure if Morrigan left for the same reasons in Alistiar's version of events as hers. And she really rather avoid explaining that ritual to him if it could be helped.]
no subject
[ That's basically his idea of a success - not making himself a laughingstock. ]

Er, well. I mean, I just memorized it.
