[For those who have been here awhile, it's a familiar feed. Allen's standing in behind a table in the lab, looking positive. Meanwhile Timcanpy sits behind him on a shelf, wearing a glowy stripe ribbon on his tail while he flaps his wings around- as if doing some sort of sign language interpretation for what Allen's saying]

Hello everyone! For those who don't know me, I'm Allen Walker, I'm one of the medics in the fleet. There seems to be a lot of new faces lately, so...either welcome aboard, or sorry you've been dragged into this- whatever you'd prefer.

[He clears his throat]

Anyway, just a couple quick announcements today! We'll be holding our bi-monthly blood drive the first weekend of February! The blood donated will be kept in case of medical emergencies that require a blood transfusion - in other words, using scientific methods to help someone whose lost a lot of blood. If you are interested in donating, we will pay you in money! In fact, we'll even pay you double the rate we usually pay since I know many of you are tight on funds.

So if you're interested and you're over the age of 16, please fill out the form attached to this video. [And what do you know, it's there] If you're interested in volunteering, please let me know. Vampires interested in volunteering will need to be able to have restraint around blood and will not be allowed to sample the blood.

This time, the drive will take place on the SS Paisley [Due to someone's psychotic sister making Blue Fish tightening up security], a thank you to Captain Alex and First Mate Stefan for the hospitality.

And of course, there will be cookies.

Secondly, I'm sure everyone has noticed by now the crates that showed up in their cargo bay. My crewmate's scanner managed to detect they are gumballs inside that contain some unfamiliar substance. If there's anyone whose already opened their crate and would be willing to donate some of the cargo to our lab for us to study, we would be happy to give you money for it. [Though not nearly enough to cover the fee you'll get for breaking it open. Suckahs] Thank you.

it's not very often that rei stumbles across allen walkers -- and she hasn't seen him in close to two years. so this is a pleasant surprise, even if the odds are extraordinarily low that he remembers her. sasuke didn't, after all (and judging from their conversation, they're getting along as well as expected). ]

That's absolutely amazing that you can do that. Take blood from people and store it to use for others, I mean. [How many lives would that save back home?]

[ It's Alisaie's first day in a foreign environment and the first message she witnesses is this. A call for blood donation and while the request was reasonably worded, there's still a hefty amount of concern felt towards it. Blood transfusions? Just how much danger was there that such an event had to take place so commonly?

[ Alisaie isn't aware that she's being recorded or that he may be waiting for a response from her as she leans towards in closer, studying the monitor in hand curiously. ]

I don't think I can donate blood for various reasons, but you have my support! That counts for something, doesn't it?

Plus, they're not cookies, but I can usually score some day-olds off of the dessert line here. Cakes and pies, usually.

Oh, and we messed around with the crate a bit, but it hasn't been left open, sorry.

A blood drive? That sounds really interesting. Can anybody volunteer to do it?

[A blood drive! Misty's all for helping heal people if she can but.... she never donated before, not knowing what the medical people might find. Here though, people seem to be a lot less suspcious of magic folk.]

Hey uh... I'm not a vampire or anything but... does it matter if we got magic? That won't hurt the blood will it?

Is there anything else you need to be concerned about for the blood or is it just vampires?
