Video + Marsiva
Who: Kitty Pryde
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Marsiva, hospitality deck
When: Current
[It starts recording without her realizing it. She's exploring her new surroundings cautiously. She places a hand on one of the cots and then pushes it through as if the cot weren't there at all. She removes her arm and both it and the cot are unharmed. Just testing her powers, don't mind her. She got worried when she realized her claws were missing.
Then she gets a better look at her communicator. It's a different model than she's used to.]
Is this another prison?
[It wouldn't be the first time the AIs sent them to a new facility. A space prison is as fitting as anything else, but there's usually some kind of message about it. This feels different.]
Is anyone from the Defense Force around? [Pause.] Or the X-Men. [She couldn't really be home though could she? In space?] Or anyone. Preferably someone with a light. [She can't find her lighter, but she still has a pack of cigarettes on her.]
(OOC: So, the coloring they used in AoA often makes her hair look reddish or blond, but I doubt the post-apocalyptic reality was really where she was going to start dying it. If you have known a Kitty Pryde, please just assume she looks like her—possibly younger or older. Shorter hair though. <3)

But his expression shifts back to concern quickly.]
She - she is? Are you sure? ...She shouldn't even be there to begin with!
Video
Video
Oh. That... it doesn't sound so bad. [Kurt smiles.] I mean, I hope we all get to see each other again one day, but for now... I guess it's not as bad as it can be. [He's actually not even sure if he wants to go back home, per se, since he fears the impending threat of a certain ancient mutant with phenomenal power.]
Video
It does kind of make me sad I didn't drill her for dirt on you of course.
Video
Now that's just a shame. You'll just have to get by the old-fashioned way, without any cheat sheets! [It won't take long for her to find material. Really.]
Video
I guess I can handle that. Or just ask the network and see what they tell me. [Smirking.]
Video
Now there's some sheepish cracks in his confident armor.]
W-well, you could, but you know you can't always believe what you hear...
Video
Video
Wh-who knows?! [NERVOUS LAUGHTER.] Um, maybe they're just jealous of how awesome I am?
Re: Video
It's definitely a theory. Speaking of other people, anyone to watch out for here?
Video
Video
But I guess no news is good news. [There were occasionally problem inmates.] Any threats? [Does she seem a little threat focused? Bit of a warrior mentality.]
Video
Geez, when do you ask about birthday parties? No, there isn't much in the way of threats. I heard that the fleet was hit by some mysterious enemy ships a while back, but I don't know much about that... and it's been pretty much smooth sailing for us for a long time now.
Video
You missed my birthday by twenty days. Did you have one coming up? [Not that she doesn't know his birthday, but she's spent the last year or so living without actual dates or calendars. And she knows people get brought in from different times so it's not like actual time matches up well.]
Video
Well, mine's already passed! [At least by the fleet's calendar. Kurt never thought to account for the time difference.] More than two months ago!
Video
Video
How about some birthday punches?
Video
Video
Maybe I will! I have to make up for lost time, after all!
Video
Video
Guess we'll have to call a rain check for whenever you get shuffled.
Video
Video
Then let's hope you bring home the jackpot!
